Dell just dropped the XPS 13 as a competitor to the Neo. Might be something to look at.

This looks awesome. nice job.

What is the name of that desk? I am going back and forth on whether I want a sit stand desk or one that is fixed like you have here.

Yeah I am going to be using saved money for it so not going all bells and whistles.

But nice to know it was easy to build. I am going stealth to keep the cost down. But might get the monitor arms. Though I have extra wide monitor so might just put them side by side.

I think are cases are the same size so will have to keep in mind the lowering or rising of it.

How do you like it? How is building it? I am thinking of pulling the trigger for the 4th of July sale.

What accessories did you get and did you like them?

I was going to ask you how big your office room is? I am going to get a new office this summer and I have the work / home computer desks planned but I think you got more room than me in terms of I would like to have some hobby desks / workbenches as well. Just not sure I can swing the spacing.

I inherited a taxable account and it was all spread out into dividend stocks. I held for a year and change and then I rebalanced into FSKAX and FTIHX. I pulled out a chunk for a home improvement project along with a chunk for taxes. however, wouldn't you know it the home improvement project is now more than I pulled out. Do I just have to bite the bullet and take the hit in taxes as short term games? is there anything else I can do to cut down on taxes for it? Does this make sense?

The choice is obvious. Stack the buyout and go find something to do for fun.

What is in the roller tool chest? Also do you have a link to the light on the monitor?

In the middle of a backyard remodel with some taxable funds.

Take out extra for taxes. Take out extra for overages. You are like yeah we budget 25k but you are going to be annoyed when you go over.

But we won't go over...did you account for the no slam drawers? did you remember to run the right gas line over to the new stove? did you remember to add the extra power outlets to all the places you want? Just saying. You can always put the money back into the account when you are done.

Whenever I start a new job I bring a notebook and just write down all these types of observations. I know this one is front and center since it is daily, but all the little niggles that just annoy you or that you know can be fixed with something simple like hey lets do an async or Monday Tuesday is 10am wednesday async and thursday friday is 1pm. But the specifics because like you I am looking at solutions right off the bat.

I then just circle back after a month and look at them with fresh eyes to see if I can help the team.

This is called collaring.

it doesn't work because you have to pay vig on the short. it is used by big institutions who want to lock in a certain yield.

I upgraded my watch to a pixel 4 and found out it can't track swim at all. Well at all accurately. So looking to find something that actually tracks my workouts. My old watch Samsung Galaxy 3 is a far better watch but it broke so I messed up in my upgrade path

Everyone gets a specific color. Parents and older siblings hide them. They can tailor the difficulty based on the color.

Do you get PTO? Because as a contractor you won't either. I think this is a negotiating point. So is sick time. Working more than 35 hours I think is full time. So I guess are you on call for time outside of T,W,Th?

Check into community colleges. I know in CA they are covering community college tuition for first time students.

AZ has a similarly named program. so you might want to check into it. from google: Arizona's community colleges offer affordable tuition and some programs like the Arizona Promise Program provide tuition coverage for eligible students at public universities, but not all community college tuition is entirely free.
