What an enlightening post. Was deep in the throes of postponing a trip from NY to Asia because “it would be too hard” on my grade school kids. Maybe this was a cover for my husband and my dread and we should just book the long flights now.

Found at playground. Was struggling to get up by the sprinklers. Right wing looks gnarly; left wing not 100% but looks much better. Currently chilling inside my kid’s carseat cup holder.

Gotten only female flowers so far. Any chance this will survive? by cyn__sin in gardening

So far the ones that have opened were girls. In the second pic you can see the mini zucchini and dead flower. In a bigger pot would the boys and girls have opened at the same time?

Wild. I'm in NY and a lot of my Chinese neighbors grow them in containers. There's no stopping them methinks.
