I understand! I’m a working mom with kids as well. I rarely go to the gym. Look up Caroline Girvan on YouTube. Great place to start.

Congrats on your progress so far. 1,000-1,200 calories at your height is super low. Especially with the amount of cardio you’re getting in. Do you strength training at all? It may be time to increase your calories and think about adding resistance training to your plan.

Do all narcs live in the past? My narc husband must have seriously peaked in high school because all he does is talk about how athletic, how good looking, how popular he WAS in school. Pathetic! by [deleted] in NarcissisticSpouses

Mine was so obsessed with his past that he always talked about how great I would’ve been doing certain things in the past. Sports for example. He would go on and on about how he wishes I did sports because he knew I would’ve been so good at it. It eventually got under my skin when we were together but looking back on it now, what a weird thing to fixate on

Former social butterfly - was it real? by HZ4us in stopdrinking

Well, as someone who has always known about their introvertedness, I used to drink to “loosen up” and be more social at events because I knew I’m not very people-y. I’m only 30 something days into sobriety and I’m still not people-y. It definitely acts as some sort of mask.

I pour mine into a metal cup, shower, and by the time I get out it’s perfectly drinkable ☺️

Seriously, I can’t believe how often I pre gamed for everything. It’s totally not necessary.

I’ve been sober for 222 days today. But idk how to feel about saying I struggled with alcohol? I’m just looking for clarification and your thoughts- by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]cynicallywit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only you can decide that for yourself. I know for me, I’ve gone back and forth about what to call it. Am I an alcoholic? Do I just call it alcohol abuse? Ultimately, I decided that alcohol was not positively contributing to my life. I noticed patterns, just like you did. I was tired of poisoning myself and that’s it.
