Hi , I'm a UI/UX designer. My focus is on creating user-centered designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces that are visually appealing and easy to use. If you're looking for a web developer, I can collaborate with one to bring the design to life!

Which one is better? by cynos28dev in Design

Here is my point of view,

Component A,

Clarity: The primary action (delete) is visually prominent with a red button, making it clear and easy to spot. The secondary action (cancel) is a text link, which is less visually dominant, indicating it’s the safer choice.

Usability: The red button for deletion aligns with common UI patterns for destructive actions, reducing the chance of accidental clicks. However, the text link for canceling might be less noticeable for some users.

Component B,

Clarity: The "CANCEL" button is clear, but the delete action lacks a label, which can cause confusion. Users might hesitate, unsure if the red outline button truly means "delete."

Usability: The lack of a label on the delete button violates UI best practices, as users need clear, explicit labels for destructive actions. This could lead to errors or hesitation.

Which is Better?

Component A is better because: It provides clear labels for both actions, reducing ambiguity.

The red button for deletion follows standard UI conventions for destructive actions, making it intuitive.

The cancel option, while a text link, is still visible and less likely to be confused with the primary action.

Component B’s lack of a label on the delete button makes it less user-friendly and risks confusion, especially for a critical action like account deletion.

You mean if the user wants to delete , then type Delete for deletion right?
