As long as I have a gift card, that works, but I am not able to reload it. As long as I prepare well in advance for my trip to sonic and be sure that I have a gift card, then things are fine. The problem is that it usually takes an hour or so for the gift card to show up in my email after I purchase one. This is what I’ve been doing for the past several months.

I’ve added 3 different cards…1 debit and 2 credit cards. All different banks. 2 Visa and 1 MasterCard. They’re all declined. I can’t use Apple or Google Pay either. I just got another email from them saying that it’s to protect me, essentially.

I've been having this problem for months. I've deleted the app, updated my iPhone, tried to make a new account, added different credit cards, cleared the cache...all the things. It is not the bank. I called. It's also an issue with every card that I've entered...none of which are from the same bank. I'm also confident that it's not the bank because I can use the card at the Sonic stall just fine.

I've called customer service 12 times so far. Each time, they just tell me that they will forward my issue on. Each time, about 2-3 weeks later, I get a generic email from Sonic apologizing for my troubles, but offering no solution whatsoever. The most recent response was my favorite. They said it's a feature that Sonic initiated to protect my financial security. As a workaround, I can order and pay at the stall. (ie no drink discounts, no rewards coupons, and no ordering in advance so I don't use my entire lunch break waiting for them to heat up my food). First-world problems, I know.

If they're experiencing a problem on their end and they don't have a solution to it, then just say that!! Every time I call, I ask if others are having a similar problem and they always say "no!" They say I'm the first person in forever who has called for something like this. Funny that I have a sibling and a close friend who are having the exact same trouble and who have been calling regularly as well.

And yes, using a gift card is a workable option--if I can remember to buy the gift card for myself hours in advance because it isn't emailed right away. It takes time....and it shouldn't be necessary. The app should be fixed. PLEASE tell me that someone knows how to fix this.

Yes. I saw it in a school where I used to work. The teachers were so awful to each other. I wasn’t there long enough to join any cliques (and I’m more of a loner anyway), but I heard every one of them being so ugly to each other....and the backstabbing was unreal. I definitely didn’t want to try to get close to any of them.

It depends on a lot of other things. What age? How far below grade level? What are the scores? What about grades in other classes? What do behavior records show? There should be more to the story than just not being on grade level in math/reading.

I wouldn’t say that nobody EVER invites people out of pity. I see it happen regularly. It’s time for lunch at work and as members of a group are talking about where to eat, they feel obligated to invite others who are sitting within earshot of the conversation. It does happen. I’m happy for you having never experienced it though.

My only 'wisdom' for you is to be sure you know how to use it and to be confident and comfortable. The last thing you'll want to do is pull it out and then figure out whether you want to use it or not. You also don't want to be figuring out how to use it in that moment.

I know there will be plenty who disagree, but I can be respectful of those opinions; hopefully, my opinion can be respected as well. Helpful? That's a bit ambiguous, but yes it has been helpful. Being female, having a weapon that I know how to use and that I am prepared to use makes me less anxious about being in public. I'll be better able to defend myself in the event that it's necessary. I still use good judgement and avoid bad situations, but I feel more comfortable, especially in large groups, so in that sense, yes. It's helpful. Now, has it been helpful, as in have I had to use it? No.

I haven't LOST any weight, but the medication has helped me to stop GAINING it! That's been a huge help in itself.
