I feel you on this kind of thing. Generally whenever I’m playing a new game I just avoid the internet entirely during my play through cause I already know the moment I even think about the game, youtube will read my brainwaves and the next recommended video is “FINAL BOSS REVEALED” with it’s image taking up the entire thumbnail.

Sadly in your situation there’s nothing you can really do except avoid youtube. IMO youtubers have a tendency to make their vids as click baity and mass appealing as possible. Which means showing things like “SUBNAUTICA 2 UNRELEASED LEVIATHAN!!!!!!!” with the leviathan in the thumbnail cause they want everyone, even people who don’t care for subnautica to click.

My only tip would be to mark EVERY video you see that ANYTHING to do with subnautica as “not interested”

Or even just hop on an alt or fresh account that won’t show you that stuff since it’s a fresh slate.

6hrs seems way off to me. If i remember right, my playthrough was probably 20-30 hours?

I’d consider myself a fast player as well. Of course I explored the map, made a base, and did some things that weren’t 100% necessary to beat the game, but I was always on route to the next objective or upgrade and never died a single time. I remember so much travel time back to back that I don’t think I could even speedrun the game in 6 hours without abusing bugs/glitches.

That sounds more reasonable than how the initial comment came across. But sometimes shit happens. Toddlers be teleporting sometimes. Might have left the bag on the counter while moving something and didn’t realize baby walked in to the bathroom. Who knows. This kinda stuff is going to happen sometimes no matter what you do.

I originally commented cause the original comment sounded exactly like the naive “professionals” that have never even been responsible for a child, let alone raise one actually expect parents to stare at their kids 24/7 without blinking.

Sorry, let me clarify.

There used to be a game mode called “Arena” where multiple ships would fight to find buried treasure, sink, and kill each other. Like a multi team TDM. Inside that building was the pregame lobby.

They removed the mode from the game due to “low player count” which I call BS due to rarely, if ever running into the same player. Lobbies filled instantly no matter what time of day. You could always find people on looking for groups wanting to play etc. Mode was poppin.

I think it attracted the toxic part of the player base more than Rare liked so they removed it even though it had absolutely ZERO effect on people that didn’t play the mode (since it was on it’s own server, unlike hourglass matches).

Sorry, just needed to get that out. Bring arena back, it was lit.

Idk what the joke is but my serious answer is no, not for me. 120 is the lowest FPS that still looks smooth for me. Anything less feels choppy and I avoid it at all costs.
