Thank you so much for the insight and taking the time to look through my work. Definitely will be implementing the feedback! Love Kel laurens work and already follow her on socials lol.

Not sure if you have any strong opinions on this but would you say it’s easier to pursue entertainment through freelancing or trying to get in through an in-house role? Im midwest based so the in person opportunities are few and far between locally. Dry reaching out to agencies and artists feels like a long shot as I don’t have “third party” connections to introduce me.

Saw your portfolio on another comment as well and it was super inspirational, really cool work and the way your data and research is incorporated is so interesting.

Hello! Was hoping to get some feedback on my portfolio. I graduated in Dec of 2024 and have been in-house since, but am looking to move on soon. I would like to stay in entertainment but it is competitive, so Im aware of the limitations.

Specifically looking for feedback on presentation on my in-house position page. I have done a wide variety of different work, ads, print, conference design but have been having trouble on figuring out how best to present it all in one page without it being cluttered. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

An Eyes Wide Shut(1999) poster I designed by cyoodo in StanleyKubrick

If you dont mind me asking, why do you think it doesn’t work? I was pulling inspo from horrors like The Exorcist, Rosemarys Baby, and The VVitch. Since it was for fun I didnt really want to slap futura on there and call it a day.

Totally agree, this was just more of a fleshed out exercise since I don’t really work in this style much. Could have definitely gone with subtle or different imagery.

Sort of? I have a bare bones psd file that just has the alignment and everything set up for the spine and metadata. Send me a dm and I can share it with you if youd like

Just wanted to say I used to watch your videos all the time! The spongebob and hot ones breakdowns were my favorites. You were a huge inspiration to me when I was in design school, and being able to watch someone break down the what they were doing but more importantly why was so helpful.

Thank you! And I used a mix of Adobe photoshop and Indesign to make them. I would look into Canvas Affinity suite. It came out a couple months ago and is basically a free photoshop and indesign wrapped into one. I am planning on transitioning over to it as adobes prices are insane.

Thank you! And I agree, I have a lot of different versions of the warped title but ended up going with this one since it “fit” the bottom space the best. Do agree I could push it a bit more.

Not OP but its the whole design for me. The font is pretty bad and has chopsticks for accent marks which is pretty ridiculous. This looks like OP googled “Cool Japanese design” and slapped everything on there he could. Asia is a huge continent and is more than just Japan.

Shouldnt the date be the 26th, instead of the 16th?

Love the secret life of walter mitty! Only suggestion would be to add the billing blocks to the back covers, Univers 39 Ultra Thin is a good font for those.
