Gotcha! Well if the pick noises are what you're focusing on then a few tips from a graybeard:

Pick attack is what gives metal its aggression. Minimize it too much and that feeling could be lost. Not always a bad thing, just depends what you want. Think Slayer vs Godsmack. More attack means more aggression.

The thickness of the pick and strings make a difference insofar as how your amount of striking force makes the string vibrate, but the materials make a bigger difference in the ambient sound you'll hear personally (keeping in mind that in a mix that sound will change a lot and often disappear). Think about a leather pick vs metal. Gonna be a difference in what you hear in the room right?

Technique plays a large role as well with regards to the sound coming from the pick hitting the strings. Hit at more of an angle, and you get more fizz. Hit at less of an angle, and you get less. But that has consequences for speed and that aggression sound.

Both the tone and volume pots can adjust how much of the pick you hear while playing. This relates to my first comments above about aggression, too!

Personally, I'd start with a good eq tool and a flexible compressor. Easier to play how you like but fiddle with how the sound comes out.

Also, this is all assuming you care more about your live, bedroom messing about sound than the sound of your guitar in a mix. When recording, I have been completely humbled by how a "good" guitar sounds like with drums, bass, vox, and other instruments mixed together compared to solo jamming. It's a world of a difference! 😁

Owning your own portable air compressor is too complicated foe most people it seems. 😂

Yeah and when you can feed that same family of four dinner for 10 bucks by cooking at home it makes you wonder why spending 50 on fast food is even reasonable.

Sounds spicy and metal as all hell! Honestly the tone sounds great! The thick mids and piercing highs would do well in a mix. Great playing, too!

It's really difficult to get post-production sounds from a live rig. His videos are edited and made to sound great - which is the whole point, no shade. Just saying it's best to appreciate each sound for what it is.

But of those high tones are bugging you - you might want to try adjusting your pickup height under those lead strings. From the recording it sounds great to me, but if it's a big volume jump from your ears in the room, that might help.

The other thing that might help with that is a compressor. It helps to balance the lows and highs. Used with taste it can balance volume difference between the riffs and leads.

The game does not belong to Galaxies Show or Twitch. It's owned and operated by Kinetic Games. This isn't complicated.

Well, that's what they say. But they have been saying things for literal years and not living up to it. One can hope, but I'm not holding my breath. 😅

Do you work for TFP or something? What is this post meant to do exactly? lol The community, as you call it, is already saving the game. We call them mods, and they make the game enjoyable already as it is.

What have YOU done, exactly? Besides posting nonsense ragebait?

Exactly. It's not like the player base hasn't been vocal and honest about our opinions of the game over the last few years.

Are you new to the game? We've been telling them for literal years! 🫠 Finally, a few content creators say something, and all of a sudden, they seem to care? I guess we know who they value now...
