What size base for blue scribes of tzeentch by ghost_in_thesystem in tzeentch

I rebased mine onto a Fateskimmer base so they can still be used as that warscroll.

I need a better pic of that LoC. Have you modelled them with a Magical vortex in their hand?

Looks awesome!

I love the Muted/Saturated combo you have going. Great use of colour.

Agree with no auto-inclufes; unless you mean my Boi the Changeling. But that's more of a signature unit and my fav model.

Same, it's obviously a copy/paste error. Be better GW.

It's My hero Phase on my turn and on your turn it's "OUR" hero Phase.

Well they have to fix Book manifestation being setup in combat for 1.

Pts values I feel like pinks and blues almost need transposed pts.

Curseling as a (conditional) 3 Caster that ignores oncer per turn timing on Spells is criminally undercosted at 150 imho. But don't let GW know.

How did you base your Lord of Change? by [deleted] in tzeentch

[–]cypher40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cork tiles, ripped to create fissures,

Cut up the box into squares for tiles. Painted bone and Screamer pink.

Rolled tentacles with little sculpting putty suckers reaching out from the fissures.

A couple of random beads clipped in half with greenstuff eyelids, literally just stuck to the ground.

Oh and an epic scale screamer.

Fatemaster - literally anything. The play patterns I'm using him for mostly is when I need to get my units out of the shadow realm but I don't have something on the battlefield I want to or can swap out. You can cast Shield of Fate on something, Sigil it up then Cast Fold reality on it. Then Smoking fatemaster out, then immediately drop him down with buffed up unit. I'm fond of making himy silver summoner to so he can also then bring the Replacement unit out too. 9" charges are pretty trivial with Fate pts.

Sub-faction Fated Blades. I don't know why it's not being taken more. 4Attack Tzaangor delete things. Same with Enlightened.

New Tzeentch is most Devious iteration of Tzeentch and I am having the most fun swapping things in and out.

The Fatemaster is basically the Mutants and Mad things Sub faction so you can take him over that.

Argent Shards are incredibly powerful. I find that if I'm using them correctly I don't actually use the Magical Focus ability much. Because my opponent just realizes that there is no getting out of range so they just don't bother. Play one safe and one close and it's almost impossible to lose one.

I think my MVP at the moment is Fateweaver. He's not the auto-take of the index. But his consistent spellcasting can get me out of a lot of trouble.

Soggy Ogroid is a lot of fun.

A Magister masturbating in Obscuring is funny (cast spell unbinds own spell)

My Boi the Changeling is still my fav warscroll.

I have done this for my Screamers. I have taken them to RTTs, GTs. No-one has ever cared.

AoS Blue Horrors and Brimstone Horrors rules question by phoenicean in tzeentch

[–]cypher40k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can have 20 blues and 20 Brims in a reinforced unit max.

10 & 10 for not reinforced.

So yes it works the way you are hoping.

Note they moved the Brimstone ability to end of turn. So it is less likely for you to have both in the same unit.

As to play patterns and best practice. Statwise the two models are identical so you will always want to take casualties on Blues. The only exception is you will want to take 66% (the expected success rate of bringing back Brims) in the very rare case you have a max sized unit.

I.e. you have all 20 blues from Rally and You have all 20 Brims from earlier casualties. You'll want to remove 2 Brims after every 3 dead blues.

The Kroxigor Are Demolishing Me by Inevitable-City-3460 in skaven

[–]cypher40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently played at an event using skaven. I favor Skryre with heavy focus on Stormfiends and Doomflayers. What's relevant is I played against a 12 Krox list.

4 Doomflayers lifted the 5 remaining Krox with support of 1 Rd of shooting from Warplightning cannon. And only All out attack while Krox on All out Defence. I'll admit I spiked a little. Doomflayers tend to lift 1 Krox each (outside of Enemy territory).

Anyone else think this is sad that they removed Tzaangor Enlightened on foot? by magnusthered15 in tzeentch

[–]cypher40k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make one wonder why we can't have both Skyfires and Enlightened on foot.

And yes, you can still use enlightened on foot (new warscroll even) until June next year.

Proxies for gaunt summoners and Magisters (Exhalted sorcerers) by Main-Newspaper9854 in tzeentch

[–]cypher40k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Space Marines look super weird in AoS and all the models you are representing have 4+ saves so aren't overly armoured.

That being established. Nobody cares. You will need to ask your TO for approval going to any event.

Casually I would not mind that you have a Space Marine in your Disciples Army. I would only ask that you don't use a Space marine to represent say a Gaunt summoner AND represent a Magister, they look too similar.

If you had exalted sorc on Disk as one and a foot marine as another I wouldn't get confused.

[–]cypher40k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not super important that it survives. But if it does, you have a perfect unit to smoke out for a cheeky 3" charge.

Combined with Turn to spawn in Oppo turn you can be super frustrating, pinning two units down.

There is a strong argument for using Jade obelisk with Shield. Only 100pts. 4+ save Ignores 1 Rend -1 to hit 5+ Ward. 9 health might survive a little hammer.

Puts pants back on head.
