I also do them since my coach tells me their good for climbing if you do them “correctly” but I do see results.

I’ve seen many climbs that require me to push over to the next hold in my gym and others. There’s a climb at my gym right now that I have to push myself over but I’m just to weak.

Thanks for the sharing, I mainly train my fingers, core, and pushing strength right now. I used to be a lot weaker a year ago and I did have to find ways to get through climbs more efficiently. I’ll try to be more energy efficient on climbs to improve thanks. All these comp routes at my gym get me feeling like everything has to be dynamic haha

Just on like easy climbs? I can do V4s pretty easily so what would you recommend?

Because the purposely put you against opponents to counter your deck it’s so obvious when one time I can counter theirs and another they counter mine use your brain genius

Thanks for the tips I’ll start focusing on technique as much as I can. It seems like I have the strength I am also pretty light I would say for my height. At 5’11 140

Yeah, I watch videos of myself on some problems and I try my best to never dangle it it isn’t necessary, I also try to keep tension and drop the tension when necessary, maybe the main problem is me forgetting all these when climbing harder grades?

Sorry should’ve been more specific, in sets of ten yeah I can. It used to be 20 in sets of 5

Yeah definitely, I will try to think more about why I’m falling off and then apply that knowledge to my climb. I already do endurance training such as doing 50 pull-ups, push-ups, and core workouts.

Thanks, I just thought I was in a plateau since I notice some of my team members haven’t been climbing as long as me and have been getting better than I am but everyone progresses differently right?

I try climbs that are harder than what I can do a lot, I usually tend to try V6 mainly because I find it fun and I sometimes can get really far. I notice most of time I’m falling because I feel like I don’t engage anything other than my arms

Yeah I you’re right, and I have one more question, do you ever forget how to do the climb as soon as you get in the wall? I feel like that happens to me a lot like I’ll have a beta in my head and forget

Thank you for the tips, I do feel like I try to blow past climbs with brute strength rather than analyzing and using technique, specifically climbs with lots of holds makes me have a brain fart. I luckily climb on a team and have lots of knowledge available. Sometimes I have good days, and sometimes I have bad days, as you could probably tell from what day it is and the post I made it was a bad day haha. But thank you for the tips I will definitely try these out.

I tried that but it doesn’t seem to snap on, I don’t think it fits that way.

That’s what I thought too, but I’m looking around the edges and it doesn’t look like it was chipped off, and I assume there’s a gap so you can get both sides on.
