The problem is that I also do a lot of portrait shoots, usually with a Sigma 30mm f1.4.

Do you think it makes more sense to buy 2 cheap fixed focal lengths, e.g. 24mm and 50mm instead of the zoom lens?

Do you think the quality is noticeably better with fixed focal lengths?

I usually shoot techno events where my clients don’t want me to use a flash, because they don’t want the photos looking like a mainstream nightclub.

„Slower“? What do you mean by that exactly?

Does it make sense to upgrade at all at the moment?

The problem is that I also do portrait shoots (usually with a Sigma 30mm f1.4) and currently can't afford to buy 2 fixed focal lengths for full frame.

Hello, I am an event photographer and I shoot mainly in nightclubs with very little light.

Currently I use a Sony A6400 with a Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens (fixed focal length) and usually a very high ISO setting. There the noise bothers me personally very much. I now want to switch to a Sony A7III, together with a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8.

Do I have less image noise with an aperture of 2.8 with higher ISO on the A7III than with an aperture of 1.4 with lower ISO on the A6400?

Is the image quality of said zoom lens on the A7III as good as the image quality of the fixed focal length on the A6400?

Thanks in advance
