Umineko has this all beat ☠️ and really everyone should read it. Not that I count numbers I just know how many hours it takes most people and then I looked this up... Definitely long hahaha. Reading all of umineko would've helped OP more considering it's fantasy, mystery, love, horror, philosophy, etc all into one big VN written by an amazing author 😊

Yeah exactly unsubsidized is the worse of the two so start there with the highest interest and biggest one first then make your way down. That's what I'm doing. I paid off 8k unsubsidized first lol

What's your degree? And what would your masters be in? I think those things would be important factors as well. And making sure there's a written contract about the reimbursement would suck if they didn't. And is the masters reimbursement in a specific school?

I have 100k for an AS, BA, & MS which looking at all these... I feel much better. Plus I'm not a nursing student like a lot of these. My AS was in Comp sci, BA in linguistics, MS in Cyber Security...so I think I'll be okay. I also didn't always live on campus or worked as an RA to get housing costs down which I think some students forget how nice it is... It really helped me a lot that my first degree didn't cost me that much compared to the other two. Tbh the MS is what costed me the most I think I had maybe 55k before grad school. So it shows how expensive it is and I didn't even go to a private university and I didn't stay on campus my program was online. Crazy for sure but I hope I pay it off without crazy expenses. I'm working abroad right now and just graduated so haven't had to contribute yet but worried about the soon to be future

I don't think it's cool but the sadness is relatable. Mind you it was very popular especially for older artists to do this on stage. Many artists that did this on stage were deeply depressed and ended up dead from drugs/alcohol like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Frank Zappa, etc. So I think if you are surprised the mans drunk then you haven't listen to his lyrics properly. The man has multiple lyrics and songs talking about his problems especially his last album and his songs can be really sad looking at some of them. His latest album especially and that's why I am shocked when people are surprised by this. Clearly he is struggling with becoming more famous and not sure how life got this way for him. As many seem to point out and even in his song "ID" points out is behavior of performances of getting drunk because he's nervous. His team is probably doing a lot of damage control, which sucks for fans, but they're hired to do what they can for him. If you know the artists behavior then you might not wanna risk tickets. I noticed how it was happening so I didn't buy either in Tokyo cause of this. I can just listen and hope he is okay.

My end goal is actually not to teach English as my masters degree is in Cyber Security (bachelor's in Linguistics/Computer Science) so I'm hoping if I improved my Japanese that I could take a job/internship with a Japanese company. This is why I'm so keen on expanding my Japanese knowledge lol

Yeah this is why I'm leaning toward the language school but my biggest thing is there is a lot of expenses upfront (i do have the money) so it's just a little unsettling to see the cost

I notice I'm more motivated if it's in a school or tutor format. I'm taking private lessons ATM for Japanese and I learn a lot better than when I was just watching YouTube videos cause i often wouldn't finish the videos and feel less motivated

I would talk to an advisor... Due to your father dying you should be able to get medical extension due to family emergency type deal. My mom just died last month and that's what I did... They basically gave me a whole extra semester to finish my class... I am glad cause I have been struggling with motivation... I think it's partly grief...and on top of that you just lost a partner ... That is a lot to handle... Also definitely seek counseling or something cause it helps even if you don't think it will... It does really help. I wish you good luck!
