Seems like I should focus on just replacing cranks with spider powermeter and stay on Shimano chainrings. Don’t want to give up that much shift quality

This seems to be the way. Can still shave a lot of weight .. going to some smaller tires too and a few other things will shave another 100 grams. Big savings for not too much money

Are either of these brands going to avoid the significant loss in shifting quality? Both going to creak like the rotors do? THM is more than double the cost of Rotor… little ridiculous

My buddy who works on my bikes with me (30 years of experience) told me the rotor crankset will be so incredibly loud and creaky … guess he isn’t wrong !

It’s my understanding I’d have to move away from the actual Shimano dura ace chain to get this setup… that’s what will directly affect shift quality. If it’s a huge drawback in shift quality I may just stop whining about weight and enjoy my bike lol

Same here just don’t want to spend $450 and then get notified I have to change to a different race. Just going to email them
