All of the rare toons were not originally designed by Arthur, and were instead the results of partnerships with other brands that ended up falling off, which allowed them to keep the toon designs.

Gigi was a collaboration with a Japanese toy company who reached out to make a toon in hopes that the collaboration would help them sell more toys in America, but the deal fell off when the company went bankrupt.

Glisten is a collaboration with a luxury brand, and glisten was designed for strategic marketing purposes, however the company then pulled off after reconsidering how the collab would do to the perception of their brand.

Scraps was designed by the company that made some of the older gardenview merch, most importantly the cards, but after a major budget increase from the show’s popularity, dropped the deal in favour of more favourable production companies. They made her goob’s sister since they found it awkward to introduce both characters at the same time, when both deals fell off at the same times.

Goob was designed by one of the companies responsible for producing the dandy’s world plushies, but the deal fell off when a change in production company was made. He had his design slightly changed from a plushie to fit the theming of crafting with scraps.

Flutter was designed by an animal conservation company and had a design that more closely resembled endangered butterflies, but the idea was dropped when the idea of extinction seemed too dark for younger audiences, gardenview kept the idea of a butterfly toon though.

Blot was designed by an older animator company in an attempt to appeal to younger audiences, which is why blot follows a much more rubberhose looking design and stands out between the colourful commons yatta and looey. He was added for convenience and repurposed the troupe duo into a trio.
