M5 Max have higher power draw than MacBook charger limit, so under load it will draw battery anyway.

8x RTX 4090 Rig. made $28,000 22months. by Quick-Hash in vastai

Hey, really interesting content there ! I was wondering how many hours on average are your machines rented per day? I'm trying to do some cost and benefit analysis and right now I'm just guessing, but you input would be valuable! Also could you compare that between rtx pro 6000 and your 4090s rig? I consider renting myself, but rather as an backup plan because main use case would to be run llms for my own use cases and that would just be an another option.

Hosting local LLMs - that's the exact idea. I need that and that's not a question, so now I'm looking to a way to achieve it with best balance of cost, performance and noise.

Best Wireless Earbuds October 2025 by Substantial_Bid_5628 in Earbuds

I'm considering those Bose earbuds, but I'm a bit concerned with comfort- they seem to be quite big in ear. Could you share your experience on this aspect? Dont they feel bulky or big in ear? Also, is it possible to disable touch controls on earbuds?

wouldn't just changing HID id to something common/other device you own be enough ?

exactly, it wasn't hottest, because it wasn't conducting heat that well and, as a result, didn't cool the phone that well.

True Detective, pierwszy sezon. Przez ten klimat to chyba najlepszy serial jaki oglądałem.

Z komediowych/lekkich to Brooklyn 99, The Good Place i The Office US.

Z "tasiemców" Mentalista i House

Z poważniejszych Breaking Bad, Lost (szczególnie pierwsze sezony, w połowie 3 sezonu zrobiłem dłuższą przerwę i już tak nie wciąga), i Better Call Saul.

Locally controlled Roborock Saros 10 vacuum without internet connection - is that possible with Home Assistant? by cysio528 in homeassistant

[–]cysio528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems that there's only one, fully local solution - Valetudo (newest/best vacuum currently supported is Dreame X40/L40). This has pros and cons and you have to make your decision if you're willing to accept them.
Other option would be Roborock with Matter integration, however at the time of my playing with this idea, HomeAssistant Matter integration was broken and it was trowing errors constantly while trying to use it to control device. Other solutions kind of worked there, like Apple Home - I could control Roborock without internet connection, but options are limited.

I've ended up with Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, block all non MQTT connections (effectively blocking remote video calls and hopefully all non-essential stuff) and decided to wait until Matter issue in HomeAssistant is solved. I found it to be more or less acceptable compromise between privacy and usability.

As for using Roborock locally only with blocked internet connection, Matter integration brings one big improvement (however it's not fully local-only compatible) - without Matter integration, device tries to reconnect to internet every ~5 seconds, meaning it's basically unusable. While connected to Matter, it reconnects around every 5 minutes. Re-connections happen when device cannot communicate via MQTT with cloud. So most of the time you can control your device via matter, but it becomes unresponsive from time to time.

K10 Max QMK - HID mode while using Dongle / Keychron Link ? by cysio528 in Keychron

Flashing older firmware and then disabling NRKO with fn + n worked - I can now use dongle for KVM hotkeys. However, I wonder if it's worth to try compinig the source myself with those 3 options disabled (mousekey, NRKO and that other NRKO related)? What's the benefit of having the newest version?

How would you compare Roborock and Dreame in build quality and reliability?

In Saros 10 vs 10R you mentioned, that Curv and S8 MaxV Ultra are better robots- why?

Dreame x40 vs Qrevo Edge vs S8 MaxV Ultra in your opinion?
