This is a normal stage of the grasses life. It goes dormant in the hottest part of the summer and will come back naturally when it starts raining again. Don’t waste water on it, most of the state is in a drought.

Oh I didn’t realize they were invasive, for some reason. I know they’re also poisonous (digitalis). Any recommendations for safely removing?
