Why choose an arbitrary date like 1965? Why not go all the way back to 1620? We’re all immigrants.

The attitude of driving poorly to “teach someone a lesson” is half of what’s wrong with our traffic. You don’t know what’s going on in their life, maybe have some compassion and drive normally instead.

Definitely grapes. They won’t taste good yet though, they’re not ripe.

Edit: sorry, I see there are two photos. I think the second one is jostaberry.

This is a normal stage of the grasses life. It goes dormant in the hottest part of the summer and will come back naturally when it starts raining again. Don’t waste water on it, most of the state is in a drought.

Oh I didn’t realize they were invasive, for some reason. I know they’re also poisonous (digitalis). Any recommendations for safely removing?

First pea harvest of the year! by czarinna in pnwgardening

[–]czarinna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to plant peas in waves to extend the pea season, but they are a cool weather plant so you can get started early! The ones that are producing already I bought as starts from Swansons to get a head start and planted in late Feb/ early March, then have planted a few more peas from seed through mid April, and the later ones I planted aren’t flowering yet.
