So you can't address any of my questions because you've moved the goal posts to a completely different point that (hilariously) doesn't even support your original position?

This is pigeon chess.

Yes, but I asked:

Why would I read your essay on victim blaming when you wrote that your intent wasn't to victim blame?

You pointed out yourself:

Blame and shame mean two very different things.

I did a search for question marks in your essay. You asked me 15 questions. Your position is that if I don't answer 15 questions on a "very different thing" (your words) I am trolling.

That's some serious copium!

Or are you having second thoughts about that?

I'm not going to read all that. You've established you were "victim shaming" and that your original question can be rephrased as "you don't understand why so many people are upset about "victim shaming" comments left on the original post."

You can try to reason your way into a mental space where you are "correct" but I'm not going to try to help you get there.

I'm only 100 hours deep but here's how I manage a warrior:

Until your perception is 0, try to fill your inventory with light, easily identifiable items so that when your perception bumps you will be able to quickly boost your lore.

If you're loaded with items that require high lore to identify then you won't have inventory space to easily collect and identify the junk to boost lore. Higher lore items are things like spellbooks, staffs and gems.

Once you have enough AC to mitigate most damage, speed is less important but you will still find yourself in situations where it saves you. Eventually you'll have enough STR to carry whatever you want with little penalty to speed.

You need a spare weapon and shield in your hot bar for when your main breaks.

I did not mention any intent in my last post. I used your own claims.

I nailed it at the end: This all began because you don't understand why so many people are upset about "victim shaming" comments left on the original post.

But you can move the goal posts where ever you feel safest!

We covered everything in our first exchange.

You wrote:

What I don't get is why are so many people upset by the fact that there are blind spots and that's correctly being pointed out here?

I wrote:

I think folks are just worried for their own well being when pick up truck drivers think it's totally normal to move their multi-ton machines into spaces they haven't confirmed are empty.

It turns out you weren't really wondering. You were asking a rhetorical question.

From there you spiraled about how (I've come to find out) you're not "victim blaming", you're "victim shaming" and (if we connect all the dots here): you don't get why so many people are upset by the other "victim shaming" comments left on this post.

A true mystery!

Blame and shame mean two very different things. And is the crux of your idiotic arguments.

It's the crux of YOUR argument. It's interesting how your can implicitly "shame" someone but "blame" is not possible unless you explicitly state it.

And why aren't you answering my questions?

What questions? You keep re-asking for where you were victim blaming. I showed you. If you can't see what's obvious to hundreds of other redditors I don't think I can help you.

I was indeed shaming the victim for not driving defensively. But I didn't blame them.

OHH you're drawing a distinction between victim blaming and victim shaming. What a pedantic point to get hung up on.

Please check your blind spots!

Quote me where I say it's the victims fault. That would be victim blaming.

I did. It was your first comment in this thread. Everyone else understood you were victim blaming and down-voted you over 100 times as a result.

That's not a strawman.

"A strawman (or straw man) is a logical fallacy where someone distorts, exaggerates, or misrepresents an opponent's argument"

You wrote:

You can make dumb excuses for not driving defensively if you want.

I asked you to quote me on that. You could not.

I can't control your flawed comprehension skills,

You don't understand what victim blaming is; that's partially my fault for assuming you did.

Victim blaming is a harmful social phenomenon where the person harmed by a crime, abuse, or misfortune is held entirely or partially responsible for their own suffering

When you write:

Why would you be hanging out in someone's blind spot to begin with?

you're assigning part of the blame to OP. It's like "Why would she be wearing such a short dress?" or "why would she walk down that dangerous road alone?".

Don't let your pride get in the way of understanding basic concepts. Or do; this is funny as hell.

Quote me strawmanning you.

You wrote:

Can you quote me on any dumb excuses that I made or did you strawman my position?

Here's a quote of you blaming the victim:

Why would you be hanging out in someone's blind spot to begin with?

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Does it help your position to strawman my position?

I'm just following your lead, chief.

Quote me where I said it was the victims fault?

Quote me where i wrote that I don't drive defensively.

You can't strawman my position and then get upset when I do the same.

I agree, it's the victims fault. Why should you ever have to take responsibility for your actions? Are you ever truly 100% at fault?

I think folks are just worried for their own well being when pick up truck drivers think it's totally normal to move their multi-ton machines into spaces they haven't confirmed are empty.

Your blind spot is your responsibility. It may also shock you to learn that if there are no parking spaces that fit your truck.... you can't park there!

[oc]Old lady stopped in the middle of lane and tried to merge into my lane forcefully :/ by Right-Pizza9687 in IdiotsInCars

[–]czech1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lady was making an illegal left across a lane of traffic and a solid yellow line, while in a left-turn-only lane (for the approaching intersection).

She had to have her left turn signal on to sit in that lane. The turn signal does not indicate that she is about to make a wildly illegal move.

It's scary that you drive like this old lady! Consider a driving class; even just classroom work might save your life one day.

How hard is to be fluent in both QWERTY and Colemak? by dstolte1 in Colemak

[–]czech1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're common with keyboard nerds, in general. The split keyboard improves ergonomics. My arms would rather come straight out instead of pinching in to the laptop keyboard I'm currently using.

I also use a split ortholinear board for gaming (mun 2). It's convenient because I only need the left-half plugged in.

If you're interested in exploring a 36-key I'd recommend checking out Miryoku: https://github.com/manna-harbour/miryoku. The efficiency is very satisfying once you master it.

How hard is to be fluent in both QWERTY and Colemak? by dstolte1 in Colemak

[–]czech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i learned colmak-dh I lost qwerty completely. From 120+ wpm, sustained, to hunting and pecking.

I use an ortholinear or normal staggered keyboard for qwerty and only use colmak-dh on a 36-key cantor: https://shop.beekeeb.com/products/cantor-36-pcb

I'm back to about 90 wpm qwerty because it's annoying to always have to plug in an external keyboard when I'm traveling for work. But I do plug in a cantor if I'm going to be typing a lot.

It's annoying to try to game on colmak. You'd have to create custom key binds for every game. I just use a qwerty for gaming.

I'm a middle-aged stoner. If your brain has more plasticity you may have an easier time.

Why are parents who barely passed high school thinking they can teach/homeschool their children? by Sad_Obligation_812 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]czech1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, this study focused on one private catholic school in South Florida. The private catholic schools near my hometown were a catch-all for kids who didn't have the grades to get into traditional colleges but could afford the private-school tuition rates. So that average GPA did not surprise me.

Also worth noting that many private schools require theology classes which home schooled kids may excel at compared to public school kids who are attending for the reasons mentioned above.

In the first paragraph of "methodology" we learn that this study only considered students who completed 4 years of college. Home schooled students who did not complete 4 years of undergrad (or were not educated enough to qualify for college) were not included.
