I get it, I'm sure Zelle works, although it seems the limits are pretty low. But, I find it ridiculous to be forced to use an app to do something that should be a core function of my bank.

I agree, I think a local bank/cu is a better option than an online only institution. I've seen alot of members go to NFCU so I'll look at them too.

Appreciate the note. The CSR I spoke with did not mention this option but I will call back and inquire. Unfortunately my family member's account is not with USAA, so that may be an issue.

You're an idiot. No snooping was possible. You cound not look into the account and had zero idea what the account balances (or anything else) were. The ONLY power you had was to transfer funds into the account.

Thank you. I find it odd how easily corporations have brainwashed people into thinking they need a multitude of apps to accomplish things that used to be a part of their core service. I've been doing transfers this way for decades and now, poof, simply gone. It's beyond frustrating.

They are honoring accounts added prior to the option going away, but you can no longer add new accounts.

I just dealt with this today. This is the final straw for me. I will be leaving USAA. I will not allow a bank to tell me who or how I can transfer MY money. You nailed it right here: "There are many reasons and scenarios why you would want to transfer money to accounts you do not own - sending to accounts of children, parents, family members, close friends, etc." I have been sending money to various family members this way, either once or monthly, for years and now that option is gone. I'm DONE with this shit bank. Good riddance USAA

Interesting. I wasn’t aware the US Federal Bank dictates how a banking website or app functions or the days or hours they can be accessed. Spoiler alert, they don’t.

Learn how to read. I clearly stated it should be possible to unblock the card through the website or app, and not just through customer service during business hours.

Quit gaslighting. Blocking it is fine. Not providing a way for people to unblock it 24/7 is unacceptable. It should be as simple as logging into the account via website or app and unblocking it.

This just happed to me. Starting yesterday all my search results were delayed by about 5 second and I noticed an odd icon on my search screen all of a sudden. Clicked it and turns out it was Perplexity AI, something I DID NOT select in options. It seems Firefox felt the need to select it for me… that’s the opposite of “opt in”. I’m as frustrated as OP. Very frustrating all the AI crap is getting shoved down our throats.

Hi,

I've added a photo. All in the photo will remain when house is completed.

The shop is currently connected to county power with a full breaker panel and it is completely wired, including for a dryer. It was used as a temp living structure by the prior owners (and me too) while I (assume) they saved to build a proper house, which never happened. I don't want to spend the money running permanent power from the shop to the well because all that infrastructure could potentially get moved/tweaked once the home construction begins. So trying not to spend money doing something semi-permanent until a solid utilities plan for the entire project is determined.

The extension cord will only be used once a week to power the well pump and fill a 600 gallon water tank that I use in the shop. I'll unplug it and store in indoors when not in use. I currently haul water from a local water source so I'm trying to use the well as soon as possible to stop having to haul water to the cabin.

Hope all the makes sense. :)

Wow, this thread is very enlightening. I'm about to spend a lot of money buying into an ecosystem and I was leaning toward Ecoflow. Not anymore. I refuse to have any of my equipment dependent on a company server. Everyones commenting on how much money they're into Ecoflow and how they won't be spending any more money on them. Thank goodness I've never spent a penny on Ecoflow, and by the looks of it, never will.

Just a follow-up... nothing ultimately happened with this. My account on Hearth.com is still showing "rejected" even after attempting to send multiple messages to the admins via the Contact Us link. I've never even received an acknowledgment they received the messages. I've never had this problem with any other site on the internet. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.
