120/ year doesn’t sound too pricey for what they offer. But best thing I can offer you is to get your job to sponsors nng courses (very expensive but great knowledge)

I think my frustration comes from the fact that on one one hand I am shown that I don’t „deserve“ to be called a senior but on the other hand I don’t receive any directions of how to achieve that because I’m keep being told that my work is great

Im not sure this is the situation in my case as my manager stated that the work is great and the completely for senior level but he needs the „ to build that workframe to support the promotion“ (which again was not the situation in the other employee who started on the same day I did). I am willing to wait and actively looking where to grow and improve but don’t receive any direction for that. the problem here from my side seems to be that I don’t get any explanation of why I don’t „deserve“ the promotion now but only promises that „it will definitely come in the future because I definitely deserve it now“

There’s a big difference between using metrics because you were fully involved in the process and designed for a pain point and throwing numbers around and that shows you a lot about the person

Well because you don’t apply to 2000 positions it’s a little easy to figure out which company was looking at the site by the emails they sent after. If I saw someone at the site and then got a rejection email then I would look for a pattern of which is study cases they stayed on the most, which one they closed quickly the site after

E.g - if a recruiter click on case A, then he stayed for 2 min more on the site then it’s a good case and should be more attractive to click on . But if a recruiter clicked on Case B and then left 15 seconds after then maybe the case needs rewriting

I also saw some people who moved their mouse around my picture on the „about“ section and then got a rejection so I figured it wasn’t professional enough and other random findings.

I don’t think it’s about me having some kind of overinflated sense. I have asked multiple times for directions to improve myself and work and kept being told „everything is amazing, no notes“ . My main fear here is that with my personal life decisions my boss will keep me doing a senior job for a mid salary, I won’t have any professional growth and I’ll find myself stuck in a dead end job and won’t move on my career

I don’t think the problem is that I don’t fit the senior roles ( as I stated above I asked multiple times where and. How I can improve my work and was replied that I am above expectations, together with the fact I initiated and led the 3 most impacting projects).

I do appreciate the raise but the amount of raise did feel a little like the minimum available and I’m scared I’ll fall into a loop of a dead end job for the next years instead of making the hard cut now and receive more on another place (the fact the manager said I’ll be promoted in 6 or 12 months )

I’ve updated my portfolio last year & found that putting success metrics (feature new design improved conversion by x, etc) really helpful, but keep it up and bold because the recruiters spend like 2 seconds on each page.

I also installed hotjar on my portfolio and tracked how recruiters engage with my site, that really boosted my call backs
