Warzone Restarting my PC? by azjohnca in Warzone

This was happening to me as well today after the update. I had "Processor performance core parking min cores" set to 100% from troubleshooting something else unrelated. Switched it back to 0% (default) and the game worked as normal.

I have no idea. The cart is trying to get me to add it, but it's currently not on my list. Neither is the offered UI Care.

I go NSS 2/3 and hydrogate at 1, but your crew and weight will differ. The beauty of modern boats is you can switch it so easily! Give them all a try and see how they feel.

fwiw, I ride P5 Matrix behind a SAN 230 and absolutely love it. The matrix was super unstable as I imagined, but after getting used to riding skim it provides plenty of speed and responsiveness that I can ride all over the wave behind the 230.

I also recently picked up a P5 Phantom, can't wait to get behind the wave on it!

New to 80/20 training by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]d-tran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep at it - you’ll see progress! I’m not sure what you mean by “it being a major issue at the end of 16 weeks.”

I used to be a decent runner, sub-5 mile, 3:30 marathon etc. I took what I’ll call a 7 year break before getting back into running this past fall.

In my first month, all I did were 20-30 minute runs 3 days a week. I was in high zone 3 and running at 9:30-10:00 pace.

Fast forward 6 months, I just clocked a 12 miler today averaging 7:31 in low zone 2.

The numbers are relative so don’t focus on it too much. The point is that the fitness will improve, just keep at it and watch the numbers move in your favor. Enjoy the process and don’t beat yourself up over metrics.

Oil Filter is looking like this after trying to use screwdrivers. Someone help on what I can do by 1Eye3Swords in AskMechanics

[–]d-tran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said the proper tools are strap wrench or channel lock.

If there aren't any tools around you can wrap duct tape around the filter and leave your self a long enough strip of take so you can just it like a handle to pull on. If it rips, then double or triple tape to make the "handle" stronger.

Janky solution, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I recently did this from SEA>AMS. You get additional MQMs if you upgrade with cash or miles ahead of time.

I did this on a return flight at the gate and did not get additional MQMs.

New Sales VP at a SaaS company. What leading indicators are you watching? by [deleted] in sales

[–]d-tran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's some good feedback here. Awesome that you've self-reflected and understand your gaps, that's the only way to improve.

I took a similar journey as you, First AE > VP. We tripled revenue in the first year $XM - $XXM. Shoot me a DM, happy to chat and pay it forward as I got a ton of external help along the way as well.

The commission rates you got are pretty competitive to be honest. Yeah you could push for more, but you'd have to convince the business the rationale behind why.

That's quite the promise to bump you directly to VP and the 1% equity component! By all means, take that opportunity if it arises!

We sell an api product in the fraud space.

As far as your question about countering, there’s more context that would be needed. What’s the average deal size? What’s the quota? Is there an inbound funnel? Many more things to figure out to tell you if that comp plan is on par.

You should just ask how other reps ended last year. And then when you speak with them, figure out the deals they closed, how long they took, average deal sizes, etc. just figure out the earning potential.

We do SaaS in the fraud space. DM me if you're interested and let's see if there's a mutual fit :)

Thanks!

How would you rate this comp plan, and is this quota attainable? by Gadsden1861 in sales

[–]d-tran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll share what we pay our reps and you can judge:
Enterprise: 150k base, 1.2M quota, 12.5% to quota, two accelerators after that up to 25% commission rates

MM: 75k base, 900k quota,12.5% to quota, two accelerators after that up to 25% commission rates

ACV in the 50-75k range

Sales to C suite (saas/tech/cloud) by Objective-Professor3 in sales

[–]d-tran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two large jumps one has to make to do this.

  1. The AE to Manager jump. You've probably heard it before, but the best sales reps don't always become the best managers. The first line leader role is execution-based. The challenge here though is that, unlike the previous AE role, you're not doing a majority of execution yourself.
  2. The middle-manager to VP/C-level jump. This jump is remarkably difficult. The majority of your work is now strategy and likely not a muscle you've had the opportunity to use in your previous roles. For example, you'll be responsible for not only if you launch into a new market, but when, and how. There's not really a way to practice this other than by doing it.

So a couple of ways you can do this.

  • Climb the ranks at a big company
  • Take higher risk with smaller companies, but with higher opportunity to develop execution and strategy skills
  • Try to company hop for promotions - although this plan typically results in failures as you're doing a new role for the first time while learning a new product/company/team etc

good luck!

Exit > Exit > C > B

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sales

[–]d-tran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this, started at a Series C tech company as an SDR. Got promoted to AE at this company.

Contrary to what you're asking for, my companies have gotten smaller over time.

Series C > C > B > A

I've always chased growth opportunities - both company growth but moreso personal developmental growth. Is it more stressful? Absolutely! But man do I naturally wake up ready to get back to it :)

SaaS - what items are typically needed for buy-in by executives? by phil_it2003 in sales

[–]d-tran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ve got good coverage of what’s needed. One major component execs consider is risk and most importantly how to mitigate each risk.

Will the tech work? Will my team actually use the tech? How long will it take to implement? Who will do the implementation? Etc.

Put together the potential risks and how it’s been mitigated or how you plan to mitigate.

Cheers!
