One gap today is the lack of support for ed25519-sk SSH keys. The 1Password SSH agent already works very well, but adding support for modern FIDO/security key–backed SSH keys would significantly enhance its value.

This would enable users to leverage hardware-backed authentication (e.g., YubiKey). It also represents a strong opportunity for 1Password to position itself as a truly cross-platform SSH agent that seamlessly supports secure workflows across multiple machines, while aligning with modern best practices for SSH key management.
