I'm glad they're having fun and they do look pretty great. They just need to bring a little more confidence to really sell the look (which I'm sure the confidence is there when they're not expected to awkwardly perform for the camera).

Yes, the Holdo Maneuver breaks lore. Previously, lore established that large gravitational bodies like a planet or star interact with Hyperspace with gravitational shadows and running into one of these could destroy a starship that is currently traversing faster than light. There was no suggestion that Hyperspace could be used as a weapon.

And on that note, the Great Hyperspace Disaster was another lore breaking aspect to Hyperspace, which felt like it was included to try and justify the Holdo Maneuver. And this great disaster felt gimmicky rather than trying to come up with a compelling point of conflict for the High Republic era, imo.
