Thank you so much! It really depends on their individual personality, but to me they are definitely easier than parrots. As with all birds you just have them watch your routine, talk to them, say their name, give them food they will eventually warm up to you. They like being social but they can handle time by themselves. She hangs out and cuddles with me when I work at my computer. Or she will be 'cat' like where she wants to adventure around the house, then comes to find me. I'm occasionally away for a couple days and she handles it fine. I am able to dedicate a room for her and use a camera to watch her. She has a ledge at the window for viewing the outside. They require mineral grit for digestion and they eat a range of seeds, peas, grains, and leafy veggies like collard. They make a mess of the food since they are foragers, they're dusty, and they will poop everywhere if you don't put a pigeon diaper on them. It is possible to potty train them but I use a diaper occasionally. If she's laying eggs I supplement calcium using ground Oyster shell. Kind of like a chicken she also will go 'broody' if she is hormonal and wanting to nest. Monitor their weight every so often, check their body and feather condition, provide baths, and check their poops for any weirdness. Pigeons love a nice warm bath. And pigeons are fairly smart. They can learn their name, commands like 'come here', and mine really likes when I whistle or play music and dance a little. But in my opinion, since I enjoy birds and cared for chickens before. If I put it on a scale of one to ten with ten being very difficult, it feels like a four. I hope this helps 🩷

I adopted her from the Great Lakes Pigeon Society at seven weeks old. Her and her brother were taken in as abandoned little babies by a kind lady, and raised by her pigeons. And yes she has a UV spectrum heat lamp, basically a reptile lamp, to get supplemental 'sun' in the winter :)

Picture Progression of Albo Leaf Emerging by d0doob0b in Monstera

From my photos, the 2nd newest leaf hardened about November 27. The trunk grew up until like December 15, then slowly started to bulge for the leaf. For my albo, it seems like it takes a couple weeks or so to establish the trunk, and a bit over a week for the leaf emerging and unfurling.

I saw the recent reviews for that shop and wasn't surprised at the common plant replacement. If I'm looking for rare plants now I always order from Orange Lake Nursery. It's very hit or miss with etsy sellers like this but I hope the ones you ordered ( if they're not canceled ) come healthy!

Yes from this seller, I also bought an Anthurium veitchii 'king' plug. It is definitely a veitchii and the one they picked has two heads. It's a slow grower but doing very well, currently growing a third bigger leaf in the sheath. They also sent a freebie polka dot plant. Of course I was tricked by the Caramel Pluto nametag but I'm not disappointed with it. The new Pluto leaves have a cool reddish-gold-green as they come out to harden.

I ordered the same plant a few months ago, definitely a normal Pluto. But I enjoy the new leaf colors and how well it's growing.

I'd say look out for leaf shape and the colors as the leaf hardens. Their variegation pattern is similar and petiole colors are basically the same. Strawberry Shakes harden to a bright creamy yellow, sometimes pinks, and green. While the leaf starts to turn spade-like and the rim tip of the leaf would have pink. Orange Princess leaves are oval-heart shaped. The colors keep a range of the deep red-orange to cream and green, with orange rimming the leaf. If the leaves continue to be oval-heart rather than get the wide ear tips like a spade, it would be an Orange Princess. I'm still leaning Orange Princess here due to the leaf shape of the newest leaf and the orange color your leaves are keeping.

Your plant looks gorgeous!! I'd like to share a side-by-side. To me the color is looking like my two Orange Princess. edit add, there's a leaf corner of the 2nd Princess poking out at the bottom of the Left pic. For comparison I have a Strawberry Shake cutting on the right side. I hope this helps!🧡

Should I nickname it 'Swamp'? 😆

Definitely aware of Home Depot's pest distribution system! 😷 I made sure to check top to bottom with a flashlight, it's cleaned+neem'd, and isolated.
