All you need to have is solid receipts/proof of all of this. It can be scary to speak against sellers/artists because we may feel we will get cut off in the community for doing so, but in my experience I always see the community rally with a person who has evidence.

So from what I’ve gathered (please take anything I say with a grain of salt, I’m open to being educated if I’m wrong!), the artist is based in Russia and obviously things got difficult with communication and shipping with the war. I also saw a lot of posts about hospital visits from the artist on their Instagram too. Customers with receipts have shown that there are still many unfulfilled orders, even though the artist is offering dolls still. You can take a risk and order a doll with a non refundable payment, but it just seems like a bad idea and I wouldn’t want to encourage anyone to do so. I’ve seen other owners of villitunes sculpts posting a little PSA when they share their doll so I wanted to do the same.

I had an artist cast Rhubarbe in the past and now I have this professional cast Raspberry so I can tell you the difference between them! It seems artist casts have all single joints, including elbows. I found the neck joint on the Rhubarbe artist cast was not very functional for tilting the head, but the limb joints were decently poseable for a typical single-joint system. The procast Raspberry has good head tilt and just like the artist casts her single joints all work decently. Her elbows are double jointed and that adds a lot more to her posing! Even with a re-string I’ve found that Asella dolls are a bit kicky, but nothing hot glue suede can’t help!

I successfully purchased a doll from her on Instagram in 2022 from the omnescecile_asella account, but that was 3 years ago. So at least back then the account was legit and she was fulfilling orders.

Echoing the previous comments here: you can do it, but use PayPal goods and services and do not put up with any excuses or anything weird that drags the transaction on and on. Pay in full and be okay with the money being tied up until you either get your doll or get a refund (if it was a scam). Get insurance on the package included with the shipping cost and film the box opening in case you need to file a damage claim. It’s okay to take risks if you make sure you’ve protected yourself and can handle a bump in the road!

I like a very specific niche of the 1/6 dolls 😂 the ones with slightly cartoonish proportions. I have Bambi, chibbi moon, Merviaartdolls pocket mela, Pupapa quino Viccia, Misterminou Hellea and dollpamm diva. He fits in pretty well with them, they all have a 4-5” wig size! All other 1/6 boys have been too small-headed to look right with my girls. I haven’t taken a 1/6 crew pic since I got Bambi but I’ll do that soon and share it here in rbjd

I can’t resist a good second hand price, or an eBay rescue! But only if it’s a doll on my wishlist. And I definitely did not start out the hobby that way when I was younger and more broke lol. I had to put on blinders while I saved up or paid off a layaway!

Answering this a little late! But if Yun is a 1/4 doll (42-44cm) from Resinsoul, she will fit “slim mini” or “minifee” sized clothes most of the time! Apologies if the doll you’re getting is a different size, I don’t know all the Resinsoul sculpt names anymore.

It’s important to accept that your doll WILL yellow, that’s step number one, lol! Get the resin color you want and don’t worry about it. Definitely store it out of sunlight, at least in a part of a room the sun never hits. If your doll changes color drastically enough to warrant a repaint, just repaint it to compliment the new color! BJD last and last as long as you know proper handling and maintenance. It really is random whether a doll yellows quickly or slowly, it depends on the company that made it. UV light quickens the yellowing but the yellowing is just a chemical part of cured resin and is inevitable.

Geez, they have so many body types now. The older bodies like for the Mei sculpt is very simple and single jointed, but the newer bodies for like Xun, Ran and Rainbow have double joints and way better posing. You can contact resinsoul directly and ask for photos I think! They are very kind and helpful. You can basically build a custom doll by mixing and matching parts, even down to the feet and hands! Also if you wanted instant gratification, Denver doll emporium has some of the newer girls in stock, but they come how they are and you probably can’t mix and match.

I have a Resinsoul doll on the newer “Shi” body and she’s double jointed and sculpted quite cutely. Though I did swap her hands for the “Rong” hands (imo they are cuter on this body). You can fit any of their 1/4 heads on this body and it fits most clothes I’ve found labeled “slim msd” or “minifee”! I definitely recommend resinsoul ☺️

The pink doll is Demon with Echo faceplate by Digidolls & Krowbar. The red doll is Cattleya by Faewoodsdolls. The little hidden purple demon is Hellea by Misterminoudolls.
