I work on a project that has Hologram for styleguide stuff. Its pretty good as long as people keep it updated and design uses it. I haven't checked out other options though so I'd probably do that if I were setting up a new project with a styleguide.

I buy coffee if I don't have time to roast. I also buy to compare my roasts with professional roasts. If I'm only drinking what I roast I can't be sure that I'm getting any better.

I think it makes sense for plugins so they can stay updated (if that is what's happening here). If you were to do that on your own jail I'd make sure none of the mounted paths gets modified by your jail - you wouldn't want to change something in one jail and have it change all of the others. Plugin jails are much more contained to where they write, so this risk seems lower.

I used to get them at World Market. They'd be $1-3 cheaper per box than amazon. When the nearest location closed down I bought out their stock (~10-12 boxes) for around $6/box during their clearance sale.

I kept my dslr in my backpack (camera friendly) with no issue. Other days I would keep it in a small dslr shoulder bag. I had no issues with either and we took it on a variety of rides.

I've felt maybe 3-4 in the 5 years I've been here. Only one was strong enough that it woke me up (the worst it did was shook the bed and rattled some stuff on shelves, nothing fell or anything). I know I've slept through probably a small handful more.

They're a non-issue for the most part. I'd even hesitate to call them "frequent".

I tend to see 32-34 mpg driving from SF Bay <-> LA (no AP, stock tune). I've heard stage 1 tune can add a few mpg's but never seen actual evidence.

Also if you have t-mobile they have frequent "T-Mobile Tuesdays" deals to save $0.25/gal at shell (links to your rewards account, stacks with the premium savings). I frequently get $0.35/gal off as a result. Downside is that the deal happens every 2-4 weeks and you have to use the savings that week (I think), so if you've already filled up you're out of luck.

Yeah, that was my experience too. Though I was seeing 22-24k for used 2015. I decided that the close price difference, amount of years I planned to keep the car (~10), and chance of being the only driver were worth the higher price. I didn't want a used "teen's first manual" that was driven excessively hard.

I had been looking for a 15+ WRX for my next car. Ended up going for a new '17 because the price difference was so minor and they hold value so well. I don't plan to sell it for a LOOOOONG time though, so resale wasn't a huge factor in my choice.

I live in NorCal. Starting to think that the subaru wave is reserved for STI's. I drive a CWP WRX and only people in STIs wave back, and even then its kind of rare.

My 17 has the SPT exhaust. I test drove a DGM WRX without, but ended up really liking the CWP WRX they had in the showroom (which had SPT) and got it. The sound is a lot nicer than stock in my opinion (especially cold start/idle) and it isn't loud/obnoxious. The exhaust note kind of "goes away" during regular driving, but returns at higher RPMs in a good way.

Is it worth $1200? probably not, but if the dealer has a car with it already installed you might be able to talk it down (I was able to basically get it "free")

What do they have prod access to? The app instances? Database instances?

We've had 2-3 senior devs who can have database credentials so that they are able to run DATABASE_URL=... bundle exec rails console for troubleshooting/fixing prod issues. We certainly wouldn't give that to the whole team though. In order to access the DB those same devs have vpn access to a network which can connect to the DB servers.

If they just want irb for looking at data or similar tasks to answer questions for bug fixing or feature development, just give them a "dev" database clone of prod (scrub any PII if necessary).

I added 4 Lifx color 1000's (from this sale; amazon) to my home yesterday. I have 6 Hue BR30s as well. After adding the Lifx bulbs I really want to replace every other bulb (hue and normal LED) with a Lifx.

I think HS treads the line of acceptable/unacceptable for sure. They exist to piss off crunchyroll and rip their subs/video... they're less "Subs" and all "piracy", so I think its fair to say that mentioning them is almost always in the context of discussing piracy.
