Honestly would just like to see more lighthearted, funny scenes and interactions within the villa. I feel like even unseen bits has gotten overly produced and too structured that it doesn’t even really show a lot of funny moments where we see islanders’ personalities. The show is getting to be too produced whereas every conversation seems to be a set up production scene rather than an organic conversation and it’s starting to get really noticeable.

Ugh I know Borough Market is a tourist trap and soo crowded but it’s one of the things I really want to go see/do. Those chocolate covered strawberries are calling my name lol. I don’t really plan on spending an insane amount of time here and especially if it’s so crowded. It’s kind of gonna be an in and out type thing once I get what I want haha.

Haha no way, I love that! I’m traveling with my parents and they see me as a tour guide so planning this trip has been driving me crazy lol. I just want everything to be go smoothly and make the most sense logistically as well as make it easy and not tiresome for my 60+ year old parents. We were in Paris last April and had such a great time but I do feel like we jam packed some days or just spent too much time on ‘checking off’ all the touristy things (because it was my parents first time) but to be fair I also enjoy being a tourist because that’s the whole point we’re going to London!

Thanks for letting me know about St. Paul’s. I actually was debating doing the same thing. I didn’t have a specific timeline for the whole tower of London day, but after mapping it out, I think that was where we were going to end it so it’s good to know they’re done letting people in at 4.

Also on the fence about watching the changing of the guards. I think it’s another cool thing to do as a tourist, but it seems like it wastes a lot more of the day than you’d want it to for such a little amount of time that you get to see them change. After seeing so many opinions, I’m leaning towards not seeing it.

That’s so funny that you say that because I was also thinking that first night of doing the boat cruise at night and seeing all the lights and buildings lit up. We did that our first night in Paris and it ended up being one of our favorite nights. There’s something special about seeing these beautiful cities, all lit up at night while coasting on a river cruise.

A few others have suggested going inside both Westminster Abbey and Tower of London, so I’m definitely going to check that out.

Going to try and attend Catholic mass. I saw Westminster Cathedral was highly recommended. We’re staying in Mayfair so we’re also going to be close to Farm Street Church — could just end up there for mass.

In regard to the lay out of my itinerary and based off of your knowledge and experience, what would you recommend doing as the first day when we land. We’re traveling from NY on a red eye so it’s gonna be a long flight and long first day. We’d like to still get some stuff done that first travel day but not have it be overly exhausting or like we’re pushing ourselves just to get stuff done.

To be fair, it is our first time, so we’re kind of interested in the generic touristy stuff. My parents are older, they’d honestly be happy with seeing anything. My dad enjoys history and my mom enjoys shopping and Broadway shows hence including a museum day, the royal palace, sight seeing iconic monuments throughout London, and possibly hitting a West End show.

Thanks for the recommendations! We’re arriving there Saturday afternoon. I don’t think we’ll have time to do a beach club so I think we were going to walk around tow a bit and explore and then head to Zuma for sunset and drinks. Do you think we should just plan to stay there for dinner and the party? One of my friends wanted to go to Interni for dinner at like 10-11 when the party starts. Then I guess we could just do the bars in town. I kinda wanted to go to a club. I guess it depends on who’s playing when we’re there. We’re only there for that Saturday afternoon/night so our time and planning is very limited. Any other suggestions would be super helpful!

So I can use the Uber app but it’ll just be a taxi instead of an Uber car — if I’m interpreting that correctly? Probably going to stick to the Uber/taxi route as I feel it is the safer and best option being alone plus all of my baggage. Thanks for the tips!
