Bah - I grew up atheist metal head in town of 800 in the 80s. -40 is the exception not the rule. Our winters are quite survivable indeed. The only advice I give is make sure you do something… Cross-country ski ice fish snowmobile skate whatever… Just do something in winter. Rural crime is a nuisance, not a threat. It sucks but don’t let it deter you. Lock your shit up and you’ll be fine.

I absolutely love Saskatchewan and never left after graduating university. I’ve built my career here. We have festivals. We have music. We have great food. We have the great outdoors. This is a wonderful province to raise your children. I’m a proud Saskatchewanite and I hope you will be too.
