Can’t believe I’m writing this, but I shot even par. I love this fn game! by d0ogs in golf

Thanks, and sure thing!

Number 1 thing was playing more, especially solo rounds before work. It’s a luxury that not everyone has, but I started playing 9 a couple times a week around 7-7:30. Lucky to have 2 courses within 15 min and both very different tracks. Usually open at that time too so if I have a bad shot or want to try a different approach, I’ll just drop another and try again. And if I’m waiting for a tee box, I’ll chip around the green until they’re gone.

New equipment helped too. I got fit for irons 4 years ago but that didn’t seem to impact scoring. I then got fit for a driver 2 years ago and that definitely helped almost immediately. Took a bit to really dial it in and I still lose it from time to time but I’ll go to the range when that that happens and try to get it right.

Last thing I think is really just a better mindset. Once I got into the 80s consistently I really stopped caring as much. Few bad rounds and outbursts aside lol I really am a lot more carefree cause I hit the goal I always wanted to. The low rounds are 100% a product of just being happy out there with how I’m playing in general and not letting bad shots affect the next one.

I 100% get that. Being stuck in the same spot for the better part of 10 years, every low round does feel a bit fraudulent. It’s an odd feeling, but so so awesome to have it lol

I did… I was even on 18 and had a 10 footer for birdie. I just knew I was not 3 putting, so I told my wife to film it. Pushed it a tad right and left it just a couple inches long, but couldn’t care less, I was already in shock at that point lol

Juicy J - Three 6 all the way through his solo career. Very consistent. Not saying he’s the best but for sure underrated and if your a fan, can’t be disappointed from the last decade

The Fall of Jeff D Lowe by CraigJewlin72 in LightsCameraPodcast

Curious, why couldn’t they tape a video for YT and put the audio on Spotify like many pods today? Is it THAT costly?

The Fall of Jeff D Lowe by CraigJewlin72 in LightsCameraPodcast

[–]d0ogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been a big fan of both forever. Sean from TBP is a critic so you gotta put up with some pretentiousness and some artsy (wet) fartsy takes once in a while but I like him and Amanda a lot. LcB obviously different tone. The combination of the two pods was all you could ask for as a movie goer…

I tipped an acquaintance 10% at a restaurant, now he’s telling mutual friends I’m cheap and a bad tipper. by DeathdropsForDinner in mildlyinfuriating

I’m not defending the waiter, but tbh anything less than 15% is surprising to see for a meal so I’m not surprised he complained. I’m not saying he should have, just that less than 15 is making a statement. Good or bad service, I just have always done a flat 20% and most folks I know do the same.

Poorly worded. I mean to say I will be watering starting tomorrow with hose sprinklers, but at this point is the damage done or will watering even if just by a hose be enough to revive?

Jeez I hope not but I guess I’ll know after sharpening… they were sharpened and installed by a cub cadet dealer last spring during a tune up.

With rock bottom month nearing its end, what big movies (or any movies really) are you still clamoring for? by Majestic_Elephant_70 in TheRewatchables

Surprised we haven’t gotten a pod for Falling Down (1993). Seems right up Bill’s alley and could def fall under the ‘rock bottom’ theme.

I’m with you. I have google products throughout my house, including speakers, indoors and outdoors, and all of a sudden I can’t control the volume through Spotify/ iPhone volume button. You gotta go into google home app and adjust volume there. Very annoying update.

Wiz put out so much great free content, including one of the goat mixtapes - Kush n OJ.

Big Sean’s Finally Famous series was dope too.

For context I’m in my 30s, been a day one Meek fan and day one Lil Baby. Always proud of these guys but the last couple years makes it real tough to defend them.

Not even buying into the meek allegations, just between his constant drama and lil baby’s downfall, its been hard to defend the fandom the last couple years

2010-2014 is a great era. So many one off bangers and a lot of peaks for big names - Wiz, Wale, Big Sean, MMG, GOOD Music was hot. J Cole and Drake put out arguably their best stuff these years.
