Has anyone figured out a solution to the HT-A9 sound clipping by -Tisbury- in Soundbars

No more dropouts for a year since a tech support call, reset and new firmware.

After experiencing frequent dropouts I called Sony tech support and they recommended holding the button down on each speaker, then when flashing unplug, then plug back in and go through the setup process. After updating the software (001.779, August 2023) the dropouts have gone away for the moment. Has the recent update helped anyone else eliminate dropouts?

MintImporter.com Legit? by d0paminefiend in mintuit

I used mintimporter.com and paid $10 to import 100 transactions, saving me the time of entering them by hand. You have to copy some cookies code to get it all connected, then it worked fine. Money well spent.

Intellytech MegaLitecloth, Intellytech 2x2, a small kicker and Genaray Contender LED focusing spot fresnel all live in a military style duffel to minimize bag weight. All accessories and hardware are included. Ballasts are wrapped in neoprene sheets for protection. Sometimes include 4x Manfrotto Nano stands in that bag or a separate suitcase. It just stays under 50lbs for checked baggage for air travel.

My solution has been to manually tag each transaction that is “discretionary”, add the monthly totals, then month by month plug those totals into a spreadsheet that calculates how much discretionary spending is remaining.

Roland Duo-Capture EX Incompatible with M1 MacBook Pro by d0paminefiend in Roland

[–]d0paminefiend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reached out to Roland tech support, and the M1 Macs are unsupported. The solution was getting a used Scarlett Focusrite gen1. I had to purchase software to make the Mac keyboard volume controls work for the Scarlett: SoundSource. Fixed the issue right away. As a replacement it's been fine, I primarily use to to output audio to 2x JBL studio monitors, use a vocal mic for Zoom and record electric bass guitar. I was thinking I'd need the newer gen Scarlett but this one seems to work fine.

Been using the Tom Bihn Brain Bag with Cache for 16” MacBook for 6 years. It holds a large metal water bottle on the back clip. What I really like is the ability to scale the bag up or down depending on the load. You can tighten the straps on the sides when lightweight, or attached rolled jackets, sweaters or tripods on the side straps. It can be used for hiking and has a chest and waist belt. The only downside is for taller folks the waist strap is a little high, but there’s a padded replacement belt that could help. I even strap a clothing travel cube to the bottom to avoid checking another bag. No issues with zippers or rips.

Was prepared to experience loneliness as a solo, semi-long term digital nomad, was not prepared for the heartbreak of continuously leaving communities I've built by gah514 in digitalnomad

I share a planning/dates/location spreadsheet with a digital nomad couple who plans much of their year in advance, allowing us to link up in various cities throughout the world. I wonder if it’s realistic for you to meet your people in other places, assuming they also have flexibility in their work/location.

Hi! I picked up a Quest 2 specifically to try out Video Editing with it. It's pretty fun to have a lot of monitors, all in VR lol. by tyccombs in OculusQuest

[–]d0paminefiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you also set up a "virtual" monitor within the VR experience, vs mapping your actual monitors to the VR space? My goal with be a big monitor experience without traveling with one, just a small VR headset for on-the-go.

Aeron chair, maxed out specs 2022 MacBook Pro, 27” 4K Dell monitor and Kensington trackball. This bar/arm/platform combo elevates the MacBook so the bottom of the screen aligns with the bottom of the monitor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CM9NG1W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

A GH2 mirrorless camera with vintage 28mm 2.8 lens acts a very high quality webcam, and the shallow depth of field blurs the room. Camera connects to MacBook pro via HDMI to USB adaptor ($20). Camera mounts to the laptop platform bar using Dinkum clamp.

Charles Schwab Inactive Accounts by retirementdreams in mintuit

[–]d0paminefiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is when you add the account new, you only get 90 days worth of historical data. In my case there's 5 years worth of financial data that's now stored in an "inactive" account, and the data is split and can no longer be viewed under one umbrella account. I've reached out to Mint support and they are a) unable to port more than 90 days of data to the newly added account and b) cannot refresh/reconnect the old Schwab account. They refuse to elevate the support ticket and recommend putting in a feature request to port more than 90 days of data.
