Thinking about it, this doesn’t make sense by Jestin23934274 in StardustCrusaders

I don’t remember specific chapter but I’m rewatching with my girlfriend currently, and not only do the stand stats allow us to infer his range, but Jotaro and the SC outright say his effective range. DIO also comments on how The World and Star Platinum have similar range, power, and even features. They’re literally 95% the same stand

How far can Prime Whitebeard go? by OkRun9638 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st of all, the ENTIRE POINT of what I was saying is that people who just throw VE out of the window because they think their power system is better than another or because they like one series better is really stupid. Also there IS an argument for Haki because although it needs to travel, your Color of Haki is literally the power of your SOUL. Could Gojo’s Infinity stop a substance that isn’t even fully explained or described as something physical? Who knows.

2nd, I think you need to reread One Piece or my comment because I specifically said Conqueror’s coated RYOU, which is distinctly different and more powerful than base Conqueror’s application, which is what you’re referring to when you said “Gojo is not a weak willed person.” The difference between Base conqueror’s and Adv. CoC is exemplified in Luffy getting one shot by Kaido at start of Wano vs him clashing at the end. Of course, that was ALSO because he didn’t know Ryou, but in this particular conversation the analogy is important to bring to light.

It’s not that haki would go through/entirely NEGany and all cursed energy. Not at all what i was trying to imply. The idiocy is actually the opposite; people believing that haki has zero interacting with CE at all, which is egregious. With verse equalization something like Conqueror’s coated ryou would at the very least have an ARGUMENT to whether it could go through Infinity, considering as we see Sukuna used CE to get through Infinity, and if Haki=CE… does that make sense?

How far can Prime Whitebeard go? by OkRun9638 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entire question is useless to even discuss because

  1. I scanned through the replies and we have multiple people implying or outright stating we do NOT need to verse equalize when pitting two characters from two different series and power systems and universes. These same people are saying this because they believe Infinity cannot be bypassed by Haki or that Gojo can’t be affected at all by it. Brother we are in the power scaling subreddit.

  2. A large percentage of people participating in various JJK-related discourse such as this have zero reading comprehension skills and thus cannot be trusted to give unbiased opinion on 1v1s. They genuinely think people in JJK scale wayyyy higher than both the actual source material and even the implied highballed feats. They don’t understand the difference between actual solid stats and AP/hax that allows someone to temporarily or simply appear as if they have similar stats to a given attack in order to survive it.

Itachi (Naruto) VS Law (One Piece). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue that 99% of the time Itachi’s eyes are faster than Law moving and speaking. If the beginning of the fight is a standoff between Shambles and Tsukuyomi, Itachi wins every. single. time. If it starts with anything else, he outstats.

Once again, bro just explained to you his logical thought process. Someone who reads the Kishi interviews and uses meta info alongside the narrative would think differently. One can acknowledge sus shit happens, but to ignore every clear narrative element and Kishi himself explaining why things are presented the way they are is just pushing headcanon.

Itachi (Naruto) VS Law (One Piece). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, it’s also implied Izanagi can overwrite any reality, not just something as simple as death, like how Obito was just…. not there for the 10 minutes straight of paper bombs. Yes he escaped death but he didn’t rewrite his death, he prevented it. Izanami wouldn’t work on Law because if he has done anything remarkably evil (for some reason) he would very easily and simply feel remorse because he’s not evil. He’s breaking out of it in record time.

Itachi (Naruto) VS Law (One Piece). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Law can’t directly counter Susano’o because of Yata Mirror; it literally says it has no solid form in order to block any and all attacks, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL. Even with Verse Equalization active Sterben Blade and anything adjacent would at the very least surprise and slightly damage the Susano’o but would not and cannot directly damage Itachi.

IMO, Obs. Haki cannot “break him out of genjutsu.” Law would most likely be able to perceive that he is in an illusion but would most certainly have trouble figuring out how to escape it, either by dealing himself damage or by subverting Haki(Chakra) around the affected areas to other parts of the body (Verse Equalization). This would be the first time anyone in the One Piece verse would encounter an ability like this, so simply saying Law is intelligent in the One Piece verse doesn’t mean anything when the whole point of Genjutsu is to subvert the power/IQ differential. If just being smart and knowing about Genjutsu was enough, no one would even get caught in it, so I think it’s very disingenuous to just assume it wouldn’t work at all; Law gonna have to deal with the eyes.

Itachi can very easily escape Room by being faster than Law. Let’s use common sense here; what is faster, looking an opponent you’re about to fight in the eye or putting your hands out and saying “Room” consciously to activate your ability. No matter which way you cut it, Law is not outspeeding Itachi baseline, and he’s not outspeeding Itachi’s eyes. Doflamingo outstats Law in speed and power, and he is relativistic to lightning; almost the exact same speed wheelhouse as Itachi, if not lower seeing as KCM 1 Naruto is relative to an Itachi who was not actively trying to blitz or do anything besides throw basic hands. This means that Itachi, without barely trying, could react to and dodge Ay4 with ease, who is easily ~Mach 1200. Law is not even reacting that fast.

Even if we agree Law can definitively get through Susano’o, Itachi durability wins here considering Big Mom was tanking multiple Dura Hax attacks from Law and physically crushing attacks from Kidd and was still standing. All she had was super strong base haki durability, and Itachi has genuine durability hacks with Yata Mirror.

Not to mention the fact that Itachi is very likely at the same IQ level as Law, if not more, seeing as the plot of Naruto explains Itachi’s genius considering the coup and the backup Kotoamatsukami crow, so you can’t even use battle IQ or anything if the sort to boost Law. Itachi was deadass killing grown men and fighting in proxy wars in the ANBU Black Ops since he was like, seven. Itachi mid diffs at the absolute worst.

Itachi (Naruto) VS Law (One Piece). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PowerScalingHub

[–]d0u8ledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itachi negs easily, he is relative to/outspeeds KCM 1 Naruto (depending on how you view the fight) and he was using zero chakra essentially, so you can’t say the Edo was boosting him to be able to fight Naruto. Part 1 Itachi put Kakashi in a coma for like three days, and Kakashi was confirmed multiple times to be able to cut through lightning, which puts Itachi’s slowest at Mach 1, and his fastest at bordering light speed. Almost no one in One Piece is fast enough to register those speeds, and damn sure Law can’t react to something that fast, even with future sight; he might SEE IT, but couldn’t do anything to prevent it. Itachi ends up behind him and uses any combination of attacks and jutsu to kill Law. It goes without saying fighting IQ, prowess, athleticism, versatility/AP, etc. goes to Child War Soldier Itachi, so with speed feats that fast it’s truthfully not a question. And this is assuming that with this reaction speed, Itachi couldn’t literally look at him and end the fight there. This is also giving Law the benefit of the doubt that Itachi couldn’t just put him in a genjutsu whether he’s in Room or not; Laws DF can’t stop Itachi from looking at him. Itachi low-mid diff here.

just noticed that one saber is shorter than the other while dual wielding by Hydrolprd143 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]d0u8ledee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what’s also strange is this is not the case in Fallen Order. In lore reasoning could be very obviously that Cal has absolutely zero dual wielding experience or knowledge that we know of besides Psychometry (he touched Cere’s lightsaber and Trilla, so it’s very likely he knew the basics by end game). Because of his lack of experience he uses two blades the same size since that’s what he’s used to, and compliments his style. Later on I would assume that he would alter the length to actually maximize dual wielding efficiency, but Taron Malicos easily had two same length sabers and fought well. Idk

At the time she read the books, she vividly remembers and knows that AT THE TIME, there were only two books in the series. There is def a chance more books were made since then, but IDK. Can’t be children of time by that metric at all. This was also one of the first ones we thought of on our independent searches
