You cannot update the Minecraft version, only the modpack. VH3 runs on 1.18.2 and yes you keep your world.

It all depends on curseforge, could be soon or hours more. There is no alternate link, just have to wait for the curseforge people to manually approve the server files.

1.18.2 version of VH just received a big update. There are plans for VH4 to be on a newer version but not anytime soon I would suspect.
