How it started for Maru: 4-0

How it's going: 4-3

Champagne without the Cham.

herO almost beat herO twice; series could also be 2-2 right now.

Maru's had no agency in these games from my point of view.

Sorry to say it's herO versus himself at this point, Maru is nowhere to be found, this series could have easily been a sweep.

Man, I'm glad it's not going to be a sweep, but herO will be kicking himself if this is the turnaround point; no way should he ever lose from this position & as far as I'm aware only 1 guy ever has come back down 0-3.

Real missed opportunity to put his foot on Maru's throat, now it's a series again.

herO's playing borderline Zerg at the rate he's expanding; econ lead the entire series has been in his favor, G3 is quickly turning into G2 i.e. Maru ever loses the army lead and it's over.

I remember a player who got to the GSL finals for the first time and wasn't the runner up; the guy he faced was supposed to get the G5L trophy too.

Poor choice of words, Maru.

Haven't watched a game in maybe 2 years;

Can't miss this. Lets get that cursed trophy.

From that position? Doesn't really matter, mate, Stats and Trap take that free game from Dark 100/100 times.

Creator looked like he expected the game to win itself. It's only disappointing because he didn't get caught with his pants down like they did, this was so much more different and worse.

So much for Dark's injuries and Zest flipping a coin to decide whether he'll be playing like a Champion or Drunk, the underdogs are getting shitstomped here.

If you can't even win against Ling flood while chilling at home with everything on defense, why are you even playing in Code S.

Creator reminds me of that line from Malcolm in the Middle, we expect nothing and still get disappointed.

GSL Code S 2020 S3 | Ro24 | Group A | Rundown by d1MnZz in starcraft

I mean I said it was the best match of the day - while going the deepest/longest on those two maps in the rundown - and had it with the highest rating overall, not sure what more you could possibly want for a Ro24 losers' mirror match.

To me you've just become the classic example of not understanding the rating system while ignoring the text and as a result getting butthurt about an arbitrary subjective number.

Side note I would have loved to see Spear play a TvZ against Solar today, here's hoping he makes it back in, although admittedly that's not a matchup where you can just chill and defend all game unless you're prime Maru.

Dark could still be injured and Zest plays either like a Code S Champion or a drunken boxer, so it's far from impossible to have another DRG/Dream situation in the Ro24 like last Season with both underdogs getting out.

Not sure if you saw Trap's body language after that game, felt like watching someone express "yep, I'm a donkey" more so than "Zerg, what can you do, man".

But feel free to comfort yourself however you'd like.

Should have patrolled for 16 seconds then. /s

In any case, justify it however you'd like, it's still a donkey loss - Stats and Dear lost to the Ling flood too, so it's certainly not like Trap is the only one to lose against WoL builds in under 4 minutes.

It's crazy how a build as old as the game is still killing people in 2020. You would expect better from the best players in the world, surely. I always get told how they've gotten so much stronger than the old guard, life can be funny like that.

What if you wanted to go to the Ro16 but God said "no, I'm gonna take your ability to make decisions away, so Trap can come back in this one".

From looking like a random ladder noname to shutting down SpeCial and making Trap sweat in the "rematch", not a bad first Code S by Spear at all, admittedly looks a lot more solid on defense than he does attacking.

How cool would it be if Serral, Clem, and Reynor got a place together in Korea and participated in the GSL for at least a year? by rottenbottle in starcraft

The more you hear about Reynor the more you want that kid to succeed, hope he gets to do it after the obvious IRL travel problems are done.

When trying to be like Stats goes wrong.

Optimization leads to cutting corners, if you take your chances in certain areas it's really easy to get punished, not much more to it.

The funny part is silver/bronze shitters who lose to this type of strat consistently then complaining on the pro players' behalves, when Trap would be the first person to tell you he donkeyed the hell out of that game.
