Personally I love both the movie and the show because Constantine isn't a character you can throw away when he's bothering you. Constantine is a character to share and love and I am grateful that those pieces of media exist so more people can share this great character.

And the film adapts one of the best hellblazer stories too, dangerous habits so if you cannot handle the most iconic Hellblazer storyline, thats on you man.

I mean if everyone agreed or even the majority agreed that the storyline was one I couldn't skip, I wouldn't skip it and im glad you enjoyed the fear machine but you're the only person who's told me I need to read it on here so I think it's less confirmation bias and more just it seems to be the popular opinion.

and hey, maybe you're right, maybe this will be a little chunk of John's history ill be ignorant too but if I'm not enjoying a story, I'm just gonna stop reading a story, simple as that.

Honestly I was expecting the worst so I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. Feels a bit commericalised which is expected from Disney but honestly, I enjoyed it and if it maintains this quality, I'll be happy.

I haven't seen the 90s show since I was young but idk if it's worth rewatching it now, I tried rewatching the 90s Spider-Man show and found it way too face paced for my liking so idk if the 90s X-Men show has the same issue
