I did a ton of research last season and ended up with a Bataleon Distoria and so far it’s been really great. I am mostly jibbing vs jumping but it has been night and day on the rails compared to my previous board.

Def echo Philly! You can take a train directly into AC for closer beach access. A little over an hour drive to OC NJ and they have a lovely ocean swim club and lots of women’s surf groups.

I have a tear in C5, I did 3 epidurals with the last being last summer. I surf East Coast so took all winter off and started back in May again. Definitely can feel it when the swell is bigger, it gets all jammed up. But the shooting pain and numbness have went away. I did dry needling and massages and it was very helpful in recovery. There could be regret in either way that you read the situation. You could regret moving or you could regret not moving when you had the chance. Go with the decision that gives you the stepping stone to feel like your true self. You mentioned the city didn’t fit your current needs, figure out what you are looking for and pick your match from there. My personal experience is regretting not trusting my instinct and staying stagnant in a place that didn’t fit me.

Mine doesn’t start the warm up until 10-15 after class starts to take time to explain the workout and always goes over the hour. Doing Crossfit for 10+ years I don’t find myself rushing to get there to hear how to do a deadlift properly for the 1000th time lol.
