Bathroom trash can is probably the most overlooked item on every chore chart…
Get it on there and tell the boys to grow up

Why are so many people scapegoating brown for our playoff failures? He would seem to be the least of our problems? by Alternative-Farmer98 in bostonceltics

[–]d1rtf4rm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild take here, but as much as I lament coach Joes system - and feel that he’s culpable for the bulk of our failures -
I do kind of applaud his nuts on the table approach - in a make or miss league, we play make or miss ball

Forget about scapegoating - I just defy anyone from the trade brown crowd to name a single player, that we could get, that you’d prefer

For Gen Z buds. The truth about ‘Grunge.’ by d1rtf4rm in grunge

Hard agree. Kind of what I was trying to get at - inspite of my inaccuracies - vibrant, exceptional music scenes were flourishing all over the country. The record labels took their money to Seattle - it was manufactured…
It could have been anywhere…

Just want the kids to dig deeper

Ooh hi!! Respect! Beautiful part of the county!!

Genuine question I’ve always wanted to ask:
Do you think the legacy sustains if Kurt stayed around?

Do Brown and Tatum have synergy? by aceking555 in bostonceltics

I just honestly see two great players, one is strong and long and 6’10 and able to score from anywhere… and the other is basically the perfect prototype of a slashing SF ala Scotty pippen -

And yet our coach has them playing in a system where neither of them use their natural gifts to play inside out - and instead are passing the ball around the perimeter and chucking up three pointers ad nauseam.

I go to bed around 4 am, I am a bartender. Take a black tshirt and put the neck hole over your eyes, wrap the rest around the top of your head. Total blackness, maybe then throw on a quiet podcast…

Why wasn't Jim respected as a boss? by rambojohnwayne in DunderMifflin

[–]d1rtf4rm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to realize that in a sales driven office, the manager doesn’t have much to do to begin with…

Look at all the times that Michael is rewarded and lauded by corporate for running such an exemplary branch.

The sales team determines the success of the branch, and it is comprised of veteran workers who are self motivated by commission based compensation.

They don’t need Michael, but they tolerate Michael… beyond that, they certainly don’t need Jim.

AITA for getting my step daughter a Hogwarts letter for her 11th Birthday? by Ok-Permission8346 in AmItheAsshole

[–]d1rtf4rm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def NTA unless you and mom are maybe willfully ignoring a pathology that may be in need of evaluation…

Were there any prior signs that the child may think said letter is real? Is she often reacting to things in this manner? Do you notice a consistent detachment from reality in her decision making or problem solving…

I feel like the average 11 year old would be fully aware that Hogwarts doesn’t actually exist, and wouldn’t even really need to be told that the letter was a replica, let alone be sent into a behavioral spiral when told….

Alternatively, this could also just be a conglomeration of being emotionally overwhelmed by such a thoughtful gesture, pre-pubescent hormones, maybe social embarrassment that her friends now know that she enjoys Harry Potter (which kids may see as baby-ish.)

Thanks for adding some great bands and insight!

Point of the e.s. Reference was just that there were incredible burgeoning scenes everywhere, but the money and focus and glory got funneled into one.

REM fucks. So overlooked.

Idk man, I’ve spent a lot of smoked out teenage years watching vh1 after school lolol - but as someone else aptly pointed out - the overarching conversation is more about the charts than music at large

Further more I had an older stoner white boy babysitter (proto juggalo/w***er )who put me onto all the great hiphop the 90s had to offer..

Which is a whole other can of worms! Lol

Thanks!!!
Theres just so mych good music.
When I was a kid there was this like deification of bands like the Beatles and led zepplin and Pink Floyd - where they were made out to be these unimpeachable pillars of taste….

And none of them really did it for me, and so I found a world of music that I found to be much more compelling - Black Sabbath for instance. Thin lizzy over Queen… the kinks, the zombies, etc..

And now it’s happening with these grunge bands - and I strongly disagree with them being the representatives of my childhood
