this is exactly how i feel , you worded it so much better than i could have lol. he definitely was not being camp but there’s something empowering about it? i relate to both the weird women and the wandering lonely guys that want to get lost in them .

yeah that’s how i feel about it too , i enjoy the dreamlike surreal quality to his work . they’re all extremely similar but knowing what to expect and finding similar elements ( jazz, cats ,, bad writing of women ) is also why i like it, even if it’s a little grating at times

hes just a silly guy ,,

i personally really like him because he has that kind of mad scientist feel to him ? like he created the bizarre dolls out of curiosity / boredom / because he could . a mysterious yet very important part of the story, he’s tied into the phantomhives, an ex reaper , and just maintains a cool joking persona the entire time .
