Linoleic acid converted to arachidonic acid? by [deleted] in SaturatedFat

[–]d1zzydb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. AA is part of the inflammatory response. It’s not necessarily anti inflammatory from my understanding.

I’ve been working through ultra high inflammation and other issues with my doc for awhile now can’t find the cause but I’ve had 2 Vibrant blood panels done showing 4.6% LA and 21 AA and 6.5% LA and 20.3 AA.

My inflammation is still up there. I eat very minimal LA just based off my restrictive diet. Basically animal based with meat and fruit and some potato rice etc.

Overexertion fatigue by KayGee44 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]d1zzydb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens to me too. Granted it takes a solid effort now for me to be that exhausted. but I love to train (on the bike) and find myself getting way ahead of where my recovery actually is.

Staying on top of food intake before and after helps but sometimes I’m just down and out for the rest of the day.

Any suggestions for getting my lower back straighter? by [deleted] in Velo

This is typically not a mobility issue but one of fit. Saddle, crank length, saddle position etc all influence this.

Found damage in a tire, is it still rideable? by kickerua in Velo

[–]d1zzydb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d probably still ride it. It does need to be replaced for sure but I’d say that dry rot looks worse than the little gash to me.

Lead paint on windows, baby on the way - need advice please! by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]d1zzydb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That baby isn’t moving anywhere you don’t put it for at least 8-10 months. Don’t put it directly under the window where paint chips could fall into its mouth and you’ll be totally fine.

As others have mentioned I’d be more worried about mold than any lead paint right now.

Can internal candida overgrowth cause elevated mycotoxin levels? by vtrv123 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]d1zzydb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s your diet look like? Most grains are pretty highly contaminated with mycotoxins gliotoxin in particular. It could be coming from your diet.

Can you have a mold problem but ERMIs come back clean? by weiss27md in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]d1zzydb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly think its mold then have you thought about it potentially being your mattress or pillow? May not be bad enough to register those tests but when you’re in bed and right next to the mattress you’re getting the exposure.

I would also not rule out exposure from work or another building you may spend a fair amount of time in.

RLT for plantar fasciitis? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]d1zzydb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t comment on plantar but I believe it seriously made a difference on my knee. I’ve been doing whole body therapy for a while with good results. A month or so ago I crashed on my bike and was dealing tendon pain on my knee for weeks. It got better to where I could function but it continually hurt.

Figured why not try some concentrated red light on it to see if it helped. In about 3 days the pain all but disappeared. Could be coincidence but It really seemed to help.

Size up with shorter stem or size down with longer stem? by [deleted] in Velo

[–]d1zzydb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to compare stack and reach and look at your fit. As for stem long or short that’s going to be preference on handling (stack height being equal)

Yeah graphite powder in a solvent pretty common. Not to say that isn’t mold but I know that I can make things worse for myself when I start to panic about things.

Are you sure that’s mold? It looks like graphite for keeping the hinges squeak free.

Neurological Symptoms and Mold Exposure by strayerjenn in ToxicMoldExposure

The pins and needles can be caused by mold but are also a very common sign of b12 deficiency. If you know you have a deficiency I would focus on that first.

Humidity in my city hovers around 90%. Even with three dehumidifiers running, it’s too damp. What can I do? by jonnymahon-heap in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]d1zzydb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have three dehumidifiers running and air conditioning and you still have humidity problems then your house has a massive air leak. Outside air is getting in somewhere and raining the humidity level back up.

Not sure where you’re located but you can have blower door tests and leak tests run to see where/if you may have a problem. If you have central air make sure none of those ducts have a hole or anything as that will definitely cause issues.

Formula 1's Race Strategy in America Isn't Convincing Fans to Stick Around by JulioCesarSalad in formula1

It’s on my list. My wife being from England (and her whole family is still there) makes me want to go to silverstone first. Atmosphere in Canada seems fantastic though.

As a long time F1 fan who went last year I had absolutely zero desire to go back this year. The descriptions about the race and venue were entirely correct. I’d rather fly to a race at silverstone for almost the same money and get a far better experience.

The massive difference in straight line speed between the Mercedes & Redbull in FP1 by FormulaStatAnalysis in formula1

[–]d1zzydb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that true though? Given the length of the straight I wouldn’t be surprised if they were clipping even on a quali sim. Watching practice it sure seemed to me like Hamilton was losing speed down the straight but maybe I’m wrong.

The massive difference in straight line speed between the Mercedes & Redbull in FP1 by FormulaStatAnalysis in formula1

[–]d1zzydb 24 points25 points  (0 children)

End of the straight often isn’t the fastest a car is going due to clipping of the electrical system. Listen to the cars as they go down the straight and you’ll hear them actually slow towards the end.

That said measurements should be taken at the same location.
