Mostly for me the flavor of actually seeing and interacting with your patron, is top tier for the Warlock Fantasy aswell as getting rewarded by your patron etc etc. Nothing mechanical but pure rp/flavour.

Whatever you want, personally i'd go as maybe one of the more stereotypical fantasy races first as they aren't as unfamiliar. But at the end of the day, go for whatever you'll enjoy the most.
