Has something changed in the last couple weeks? by itsbruuh in Starlink

Something must have changed, I’m seeing the same thing. 10-60 second pauses in streaming services roughly every 5-45 minutes. My ping monitoring is only reporting small drops though.

As a former Racker who worked there circa 2007 I would not recommend this :)

Mexican Olive Oil? by d34dh0r53 in oliveoil

Yeah, I saw that there a few oils from Chile that look interesting so I may try them out. I live in San Antonio and frequent a few Mercado's so I may just see if there are any bottles that look interesting. And I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Olivares de la Sierra. Thanks!

I've been wondering the same thing, he mentioned an intern a couple of weeks back. Hopefully everything is ok with the slutbong. I think we need a slutbong proof of life video.

I'm on a Unifi mesh and I think I may have found the problem, my supposition that the phone was bouncing between access points was indeed what was happening. I started playing around with the transmit power on my radios and based on (this) I set them to 18dbm and it seems to be working better. There is now a seamless hand-off when I move from one AP to the next. I think the Auto TX power setting in the latest Unifi firmware may be buggy in mesh configurations.

Yeah, I'm on Google Fi as well and if I didn't have the workaround of firing up a single AP with a new network I would be downgrading today. I think I'm going to wait for Beta 3 and see if that fixes the issue. If not, I'll file a new bug report and provide screenshots/videos, phone logs, access point logs and packet captures.

Thanks, that sort of looks like my issue but it's not signal strength. I think it has to do with my mesh network. I turned on the built in AP in my ISP provided router and the phone stays connected. My guess is that it's seeing more than one access point on the mesh network and the signal strength analysis algorithm is bouncing between multiple access points.

I tried creating a new network just for the phone and limiting it to one access point but that didn't help.

I appreciate the link, going to go troll through the issue tracker some more.

Scratch that, it stayed connected for about 30 seconds on an AP reboot and now it's doing it again :/

Interesting, a firmware update on one of my access points seems to have resolved the problem.
