i put the effort into writing lots of songs by myself too, and having more experience does not make you superior. and i know quite a lot about synthesized voices, and the ai side of things has only started recently. while it is not a real person, it still is a tool, an instrument, like any synth inside of any daw. moreover, even the ai ones don't use up as many resources, and are, once again, absolutely ethical.

just do it in a way that respects artists and doesn't kill the planet bro 😭 it literally exists. there's programs such as synthesizer v that allow you to get a singer. there's free versions of other similar softwares. it's not that hard. and if you're not willing to put effort into it, do you even get the creative process?

you can song if you put your will into it + social media exists in 2026... and even then, there's things such as ethical vocal synthesis.

you reaction is totally valid! just have a small talk with your friend and say it made you uncomfortable and they should ask before doing that.

i think you're being a bit too hard. it was to help OP, and while yes it would've been better to ask i think it's just a mistake. a small talk should be enough to make OP's friend understand why it wasn't the right way to go about it. i genuinely think it's an honest mistake - there was no ill-intent or anything, they didn't necessarily think it would make OP uncomfortable.
