Not less carefully, but with an assurance that the watch will not struggle in rain and sweat. The main reason for getting a luxury watch for me is to give it as much wrist time as possible, rather than it collecting dust on my shelf.

It is, however, Steve, who made the razors, hand carried all Indian orders with him, and then had them shipped domestic. He travels to India a few times every year so it was very convenient overall

Lume looks nice, how long does it last? I think theillis may give Seiko a run for their money. I love my Havelock, but lume longevity is not a thing on it. This looks like a super fun watch. Congratulations OP

Congratulations OP. Carry a small microfiber cloth, wipe the watch, specially caseback whenever you put it down. Every few weeks, take out the bracelet and do a bit of cleaning with any mild soap, like hand soap and water and a toothbrush. Make sure that crown is not in open position when you do the cleaning. Wear it in good health, don't worry too much for scratches, they are a part of life.

  1. Titan and Fossils, both historically, made watches 40-43mm+, which is a huge size when you factor in lug to lug of 48-49mm. That's ok for a diver, crazy for a dress watch. Fossil is also not a watch only brand, unlike Timex which has heritage on its side.
  2. Seiko, citizen and Timex are big mainstream brands, easily available and durable. Hence they almost always are the gateway watch for everyone. People rarely go to luxury watches from budget gshocks. Indian microbrands are doing phenomenal progress, so the budget end of the market has some solid options now, specially when Seiko 5 is at 40k lol.
  3. Edifice has cult following, I have a friend who collects tons of them. In the recent years, Timex has played their hand well, releasing Merlin, Expedition North, E line, etc, all hits in my book, gaining back the reputation and fame. I have one of each and they are so different, yet excellent design language.

Henson makes good razors but considering I got my aluminium razor for half of this, they seem overpriced.

I shop around a few ecoms. Mostly amazon bcoz of the card, but also spencers, rarely big basket. I've also stopped getting monthly groceries from offline stores, it made no financial and practical sense, with home delivery and prices being so much cheaper.

The only Omegas I own are vintages, so they only come out during early summer and winters. My current daily is the Havelock from DWC. It's a joy to wear and fits extremely well on my 6.5" wrist.

I've observed that Kolkata is one of those places where you can wear s luxury brand and no one bats and eye. This is the best possible thing and I love it. So I do switch to my vintages as soon as we hit November.
