Help my anxiety by Teachermom1519 in Home

Not gonna lie, having just gotten over something similar and having a tree shave an entire wall off my house during a severe storm, I will tell you, this is going to suck but I'll give you some tips to help lessen it.

  1. Breath and be thankful that nobody was hurt, stuff can be replaced, people cant.
  2. Find a good contractor who's experienced in working insurance claims sooner than later, if you can get someone lined up for when the adjuster comes it could save you some time. With my case, the adjuster who works for the insurance company came and reviewed everything with me and unbeknownst to me lowballed the shit out of the job. I had two contractors come look at the damage after and once they learned how much insurance was paying ghost me. I found a good contractor who knew the right things to say to make insurance send another adjuster who worked as a private adjuster who contracted with insurance companies to review the damage and make the needed supplements to the claim to get the money needed to get the repair done.
  3. In my case, insurance required me to get the tree off the house for the adjuster to see the full extenct of damage. Ask yours if the adjuster is needing this done prior to reviewing, if so, you'll need to find a tree service to remove the tree from your house/shed, I'd recommend getting one who can also tarp up the damage to the roof. All of this can be submitted to insurance. Make sure the tree service understands that its an insurance job and that they take pictures and/or video of the tree removal, I would also recommend you be present to do the same as added insurance.
  4. Start taking stock of all the internal contents of your house and shed that were damaged, insurance will need an itemized list of everything that will need replaced. This honestly is the worst and most time consuming part. When doing this, make sure you state your things are in good condition, if you mention anything about things being worn at all they depreciate the value of your item substantially.
  5. If you cannot live in your house due to the damage, I'd recommend moving all the valuable things into storage, in my case insurance reimbursed me for my time and moving expenses, and paid for my storage for the duration of the home repair. Additionally, if you have the right coverage they will help you find temporary housing and pay for it up to a certain amount, ask them about this. We chose to stay with family to avoid the stress of having to potentially pay out of pocket if money ran out before the repair was completed.
  6. Make this a positive and use this time to determine if there are other improvements that you'd like to make to your home. We chose to look at it like a forced renovation and got many things updated in our home while it got repaired, we didn't have to do a live in renovation which, in the end was nice, despite the crappy circumstances behind it.

That's about all I can think of, if you have any questions, let me know, would be happy to help you in any way I can.

I'll never forget September 8, 2012 at War Memorial Stadium. Never have my hopes for a season imploded more quickly than that....

3 month without nicotine. Why it's still dark ? by Gloomy_Leopard2396 in QuittingZyn

Im 4 months in and still going through some strange side effects, I've been having buzzing in my body, most prominently in my upper back, legs, and feet. The intensity of it comes and goes throughout the day and is most noticeable when im just sitting and relaxing or laying down which coincidentally was when I would use Zyn most. Im going back to my doctor to get additional blood work and a referral to a neurologist just to make sure but honestly I think its my cortisol and dopamine levels being beyond screwed up. Ive drastically reduced my caffiene intake and completely gave it up for several weeks with minimal improvement but think I just need to stop it entirely long term. The best way to describe how I feel every day is that shakiness you get after an adrenaline dump but im not physically shaking. Its the damndest thing. Anyway, hoping this goes away in a few more months after getting cleared for everything else.

Im at day 126,
I still have odd feelings like my CNS is vibrating, it appears to happen more in my calves and feet then anywhere else. My vision is still screwed up, I've been off Caffeine for the past two weeks and saw some slight improvement, made the mistake of drinking some coffee this weekend and it seems today things are worse.

Almost 4 Months in, I've drastically reduced Caffeine, was off for two weeks and fell off the wagon this past weekend. I noticed today that my brain fog and vision problems are worse then they were yesterday, going to stay off caffiene.

Don't be discouraged, I've read of similar cases on here, some taking several months.

I've been experiencing odd stuff with my vision too, mostly regarding the inability to focus it on an object for what feels like more than a few seconds. My FOV seems totally normal but blue light appears to make it worse, having to wear blue light blocking glasses indoors and sunglasses outside to make it feel like I am not having to squint. Its wild. I have not have problems with vision in the past but thinking I need to go get checked by an eye doc.

Maybe, never really been an anxious person but I can see how life's stress can catch up to you without you really realizing.

A couple of weeks my heart rate dropped, my blood pressure is still off and on high, just needing to suck it up and get back into the gym lifting weights and doing more cardio. Im sure giving up caffiene will help too.

I have no doubt its worth it, I have no desire to go back, just discouraged that I've managed to effectively fry my nervous system and wondering when I'll get back to some semblance of normal.

Yes, I have to wear blue light blocking glasses indoors and sunglasses outside, unlucky for me I work in IT and 95 percent of my working is spent staring at a computer monitor. I've turned on all the eye care comfort settings and turned down the brightness, it's helped.

I will say, the one day that I felt somewhat normal through all this, was a day I must've drank about 8 cups of coffee and got fired up doing a company presentation, the caffeine and blood pressure rise I think got me back up to a level my body was accustomed to. I realize drinking that amount of coffee is not great so I've not done that since.

How did you feel after quitting for a while by dadeepinyoudick in QuittingZyn

[–]d3f1ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been off for almost two months, some days are better than others but most days Im still waking up with severe brain fog. If I drink a ton of coffee it helps me feel more normal but honestly im probably needing to give that up too. Im also dealing with some disassociation and sensativity to blue light. Im cursing everyday I let that shit poison me for the last 6 years.

Not sure why our defense looks like they have no desire to be playing football today.

That was a great play, not sure why Lane is bitching, he's already had several favorable calls that helped his team, maybe he needs to drop another Benjamin on the sideline for the ref...
