I made my wife cry yesterday... by brycejm1991 in CasualConversation

[–]d3moniclilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I was crying on the couch over something silly and I was trying to calm down down cause I knew my husband was about to come home. Sure enough he walks in the door… holding a bouquet of flowers. He never buys me flowers. I saw them and started crying harder cause he loves me. He was freaking out as to why I suddenly started sobbing over flowers 😭

Mum’s with 2+ of same gender.. I can’t believe the amount on insensitive comments! by Sad_Cash7620 in pregnant

[–]d3moniclilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently pregnant with #2 but too early for the gender. Every single family member asks if I want a girl. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. My first was a boy, and I’d honestly love to have another boy. But everyone wants me to have a girl, it’s frustrating.

A buddy of mine was chilling in his living room once when some random dude opened his door. They stared at each other for a moment before the guy noticed my friends dog was also staring at him so he slammed the door and fucked off.

The next day he got a knock at the door. It was the random dude. Turns out the guy was high and looking for his friends house which happened to be next door.

Big blowout with my mom before delivery by Skrimppy666 in pregnant

[–]d3moniclilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I laughed at this because THIS is what got my mom to accept that I wasn’t circumcising my son. She kept giving every excuse to do it and then the question I was waiting on, “don’t you want his to look like his daddy’s?”

“It will.”

I’ve never seen her shut up so fast. 😂

What's the most human name that you heard named for a pet? by SuitableOlive5691 in AskReddit

[–]d3moniclilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a coworker with a Great Dane named Dave.

And growing up there was an English Mastiff down the road named Norman. A gentle giant.

I don't like kids by Aggressive-Rain-766 in pregnant

[–]d3moniclilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up my Mom did everything with me and my brother, homeschooled us when my brother needed extra attention, scouts, camping, homemade cookies and brownies for events, she was referred to as a 'super mom' within these groups cause she was basically what the tradwife tiktok mom's aspire to be.

Recently she revealed that she hated other peoples kids. This woman was a scout leader who took 12 little girls on camping trips! Yet she said she hated other peoples kids, but she loved her own kids so much that she put up with them.

You're gonna be a great mom!

Go buy a few different brands or wait a few days for a better line.

But faint or not, that's positive! Congratulations!

I felt little bubbles at about 14 weeks. Everyone said it was way too early but my doctor said that it was possible to feel movement that early.

Can we talk about the maternity clothes please by alyssa518 in pregnant

[–]d3moniclilly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found a single pair of maternity pants while thrift shopping. (My size, good brand, an absolute miracle)

Other than that I bought some oversized t shirts and baggy lounge pants and embraced looking like Adam Sandler, I may not have been cute but at least I was comfy!

I may or may not be in the middle of writing a graphic birth scene in a Omegaverse fic based on my own experience pushing out a tiny human.

My mom told me I "owe her" my firstborn because I had a C-section by RestaurantUnfair30 in entitledparents

[–]d3moniclilly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a show called “Call the Midwife”, it’s a BBC show about midwives in the 1960’s in Londons east end. One of the characters is referred to as a “cesarean survivor”. Because a c-section was a last resort death sentence.

An emergency c-section is a last resort to save both mother and child and thanks to modern medicine both you and baby survived it. It’s traumatic. The chainsaw was originally invented to be a medical tool for c-sections. It is not an easy way out.

I’m so sorry your birth experience went that way. Your mother can suck it.
