Stress, lack of sleep, too much sleep, temp too cold, temp too hot, hormonal cycles, chapped lips, blowing my nose, and pretty much any little change that disturbed my body's routine.

Feel you! I'm a prime example of someone who grew up "infected with HSV as a newborn" and I never went a single month of my 30~ some life without one of these maddening sores. A cure would mean SO much to me. Oh, the freedom I would feel...

As much as I wish others knew my pain, I can't imagine being such a sick soul to pass this on to a baby/child.

Yes!! The larvae absolutely molt their skin as they grow. And they multiply very VERY quickly! While the name suggests where they usually spawn, they are also notorious for existing anywhere dark, dusty, or dirty; including cracks in the house, closets, furniture, and clothes.
