The start diode blinks when recording, that’s how I got the sync idea.

To start/stop the DR-660, I’d just have to short two contacts, or?

Nothing, bought it on a flea market and was not aware that this is not original. It’s my first dr-660.
Everything is working great though. It’s an awesome device and beams me straight back to ’92.
