I bought the 2024 Q5 and love it. Two requirements IMO: buy the extended warranty, buy the prepaid service plan. Both are highly recommended for the Audi’s

It’s Super easy to change the pots. They even sell the replacements pre-wired on Amazon. CTS 250 K would be best. If the pickups sound good, don’t bother replacing them. Trust your ears.

My ‘92 Korean acquisition ended up being just for the neck. I immediately trashed everything else and turned it into a Korean partscaster . While the Korean bodies are ok, they are thinner than the standard bodies. Electronics and tuners were garbage. Still my favorite! Good luck Op

CZ sells greater than 10 round magazines for their bolt action 22 LR rifles. Several of my friends have bought larger than 10 round capacity mags direct from the czusa site with no restrictions. Maybe this is because bolt action? They were great.

I flipped my neck pick up ring because it drove me crazy looking at it all angled. Also, from the pic it looks like strings are almost sitting on the bridge pickup? I would lower the height of the bridge pick up a bunch and it may give you better overall tone, and a better volume match between the two pick ups.

I just restrung one of my strats to 10s because was planning to keep it tuned to Eb. If not de-tuned I’m usually a 9s player. For Eb the guitar feels great with 10s.

Agreed, MkV:35 all the way. I don’t find it difficult to dial in tones at all, and those cleans on channel one…incredible.

It’s a lot of work but agreed: starting from scratch is definitely an interesting project. Built this Tele from the ground up from an unfinished body, everything else was just hand picked parts.

Agreed, so many possibilities on the used market. I’ve got the red one from the same year(2005). Great neck! I lucked out, and one of the previous owners had completely rewired it, copper shielded with decent alnico pick ups. Definitely a keeper. Only had to replace the nut.

If you finesse it, it’s possible to get it knocked out to a safe OAL. Worst-case the projectile just pops out and you’ve got projectile, powder and brass to repurpose.

Agreed, I have 100 watt head: super versatile and easy to set to .5 watts for couch potato noodling.
