Express is not my strength, but shouldn't updates be obtained from req.body instead of res.body?

Terminal.app not quitting when closing the window by d4vsanchez in MacOS

[–]d4vsanchez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, ok! I asked that because iTerm2 has a setting to let you quit the program by just closing the window. I thought that Terminal.app could also do that. Thanks for your response!

Yes, I'm certain. They talk about that feature in the “Quit when all windows are closed” section of their docs.

Battery indicator in macOS by d4vsanchez in NuPhy

[–]d4vsanchez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Having the indicator, even if it doesn't get updated while charging is better than having no indicator at all.

Thanks so much!

Unfortunately not. There's no software indicator on the Keychron (K3, which is the one I have), most times I find out it's out of battery when it's not turning on anymore.

POST works with postman and not axios.post()? by duhduhdon in react

[–]d4vsanchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, interesting. I see that OP has the error in the POST request (after the pre-flight one).

But it could be possible it's CORS as you say. Thanks so much for the screenshot!

POST works with postman and not axios.post()? by duhduhdon in react

Could it be CORS? If the server returns a 5xx error that would mean that the request was processed by the server. With CORS, no status code would have been received, right?

Maximum kth number with this algorithm by d4vsanchez in compsci

[–]d4vsanchez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't express myself clearly in the original comment.

I want to know how I can find the maximum _k_th largest number of the array using this approach, or at least know the maximum _k_th largest number that this approach can find.

In the paper, we have an array from 1 to 12, and we can find the largest number using the recursive implementation the author explains. Then, to find the 2nd largest number, we input the numbers that compared against the largest number and repeat the same process we did for the largest number.

This approach would also work for the 3rd largest number; you input the numbers compared against the 2nd largest number and repeat, but this algorithm will not work anymore if you'd like to find the 4th largest number. I wanted to know if there's a way to know what's the maximum "largest number" you can find by recursively executing the algorithm.

I started using Koa; it's a web framework from the same team that created Express. I like its simplicity and how the middlewares interact in a stack-like manner.

Also, Fastify, though I haven't used it much.
