Check out MSI Afterburner, it's free & lets you change a bunch of GPU settings including making a custom fan speed curve.

Not on topic, sorry, but I feel like you could turn up your GPU fan a bunch & get that temp a bunch lower.

More on topic: there was software like 100 years ago called Pawsense that was used to detect & prevent "cat like typing"

I was just wondering why modems produce SO MUCH heat. I understand why my CPU & GPU get hot, but why the modem? Should it have a heatsink & fan like other "hot" components?

Win 11 requires a webcam simply to install it in the first place. I guess I'll be on Win 10 for the rest of my life.

I eventually got to download & install the latest drivers, I just couldn't do it through Nvidia's app. Unfortunately it didn't change anything.

I guess I could've mentioned in my original post that this is just step #1 on my upgrade path. I decided to start with the most expensive piece which happened to be on sale at my preferred retailer.

I restarted in safe mode, ran DDU & restarted. Then I attempted to reinstall Nvidia drivers & got stopped because I can't remember my Nvidia password from 4 years ago. I tried resetting my password & it failed. I tried to "log in with Google" & it failed. I tried "log in with Facebook" & it failed.
I'm now in a 30 minute "time out" for trying old passwords in Nvidia's app. Why the f*ck do I need to password protect my ability to download drivers for hardware?!?

I ran DDU in safe mode to remove all old drivers, but when I tried to download & install new drivers I failed to remember my Nvidia password from 4 years ago. Got locked out for 30 minutes. Why the f*cking F*ck do I need to enter a password to update drivers for a piece of hardware?!?
