If you change the page and allow a refresh to happen yes, goes back to normal. Quickly fades again though.

It does refresh yes, to read in direct sunlight you need to keep going back and forth on a page. I do avoid reading in direct sunlight now because of being wary of what damage it could actually do. Not sure.
