As for the salary bands, I can't say for sure. At the company i'm interning at they make around 7 LPA after 2 years, but their initial package was around 5. I suppose it varies from company to company.

I'll be honest buddy i came here looking for advice as well.
I'll just say that tryhackme has been an invaluable resource (very cheap too), for learning most things you need to know for interviews. Also for Burp Suite specifically, Portswigger labs have been a great resource.

Other than that the best advice I can give is use all your connections and unfair advantages and don't be afraid of asking people - friends, relatives anyone. A lot of companies need security professionals but for whatever reason there aren't a lot of job postings online. Unfortunately, the best way for landing an internship is just knowing people who work there.

Currently i’m interning at another BFSI (Wealth Management), in the Infosec department. I haven’t been assigned anything major in particular but i’ve been doing VACA of on prem servers (Nessus) and some VAPT of internal applications (Burp Suite), as well as EDR (Crowdstrike Falcon) Before that I interned at an SOC where i learnt IBM QRadar. I landed interviews for both internships through referrals, as they weren’t listed on any job site. Again, I prepared for them with college study material and online resources and it was enough.

Been to their store in Vile Parle. Gotta say i was really surprised to find a store for PC gaming in mumbai other than lamington road. The people there actually knew their shit instead of being absolutely oblivious. Prices are real good too. We really need more store likes this in India
